WHAT YOU'LL DO 
You'll help transform Cisco’s software-strategy to accelerate profitable growth, by working to build our software offerings and customer outcomes accordingly. As a Software Financial Strategy Manager, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in defining and influencing the software monetization strategies associated with major technology and consumption model shifts. Within this team, you will provide broad business exposure include working with the leadership teams across the various Cisco businesses. 


MORE SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL: 
  • Help lead the cross-business unit monetization strategy development for software, integrated solutions, and consumption models
  • Provide industry thought leadership on SW business strategies, licensing models, and business planning requirements
  • Drive the financial strategy to evolve current hardware-centric monetization model to software (licensing) and cloud services (SaaS)
  • Assess the financial implications of enterprise software market trends/disruptions to help optimize portfolio investments



WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH 
You will be working with Cisco's Digitization Office (CDO), which has responsibility for driving cross-company initiatives to accelerate Cisco's software and recurring revenue business. You will also work with product managers and finance teams for enterprise products, including Networking, Data Center, Security, Collaboration, IoT, and our Application Platforms on new offers, monetization models, financial planning and portfolio investments.

You are a self-starter and ramp up in new subject matters to drive relevancy to partner interaction, quickly. With this knowledge, you will craft strategic-planning to achieve end-state visions/objectives, balancing strategic and tactical considerations. 


OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:
  • A Bachelor's Degree, with 7+ years relatable experience.  Preferred is an MBA from a top-rated business school with 3+ years of post-degree experience within a Technology Software industry.
  • Experience with driving business model transformations, with strong spreadsheet modeling and analysis, along with the ability to extract key insights.
  • Big picture critical thinking with hypothesis-driven structured analytical approaches
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication up to the senior executive level
  • Knowledge of Cisco products and operations preferred
