Mid-Market Software Sales Executive

The Mid-Market Software Sales Executive is results oriented with strong communication skills.  This position is primarily responsible generating new business with SMB and mid-market prospects.  These responsibilities include identifying prospects, building a qualified sales pipeline using both outbound and inbound leads and closing business against quota.  The Mid-Market Software Sales Executive will be highly motivated and drive positive prospect experiences that support the companys overall sales goals with a proven record sales record. 


  • Proactively call and establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts to achieve monthly revenue goals

  • Create relevant and targeted lists of prospects through multiple avenues to build a consistent pipeline of new business.

  • Partner with Business Development Reps to set meetings with target prospective clients, as well as coordinate additional follow-up activities as needed

  • Learn and advocate for SentryOnes full suite of products and services

  • Coordinate with marketing team to develop marketing plans that accelerate our customer sales cycle

  • Consistently and accurately record all sales activities in Salesforce.com

  • Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods.

  • Work with onboarding and delivery teams to proactively address any obstacles with new customers.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure completion of the sale and/or other sales operations requirements. 

  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace.


Ability to Multi Task: Proven ability to manage multiple issues and/or projects successfully bringing them all to resolution in a timely manner.

Problem Solving: Anticipates problems, recognizes and accurately evaluates the signs of a problems and analyzes current procedures for possible improvements.

Customer Service: Listens and responds effectively to customer questions; resolves customer problems to the customers satisfaction. Respects all internal and external customers and uses a team approach when dealing with customers to exceed customer expectations.

Detail Orientation: Thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. Monitors and checks work or information and plans and organizes time and resources efficiently.


  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and 2+ years experience

  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic

  • 3-5 years experience in B2B, sales or business development

  • Experience with working in a CRM environment

  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed personal quotas and goals

  • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation

  • Professional communication skills and ability to connect with IT business leaders

  • Positive attitude towards work, teammates and working with colleagues in other departments
