Peachford Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Night House Supervisor, RN.

Located in the beautiful Dunwoody neighborhood of Atlanta, Peachford features individual units for children, adolescents, adults and seniors, serving residents of Georgia and beyond. The Night House Supervisor, RN will direct and manage the delivery of quality psychiatric and chemical dependency nursing care on the nursing unit under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Serves as Nursing Administration presence on assigned shift.

  • Assist with personnel management duties including screening and selection of nursing staff, providing department orientation and training, completing performance evaluations and giving feedback to Director of Nursing and the Human Resources office. 

  • Schedule nursing unit staff, assuring an appropriate staffing ratio based on patient acuity, and adhering to nursing department FTE standards. 

  • Monitor the day to day provision of psychiatric and chemical dependency nursing care, assisting on the unit only as necessary, and communicating problems/issues with Director of Nursing as they occur.

  • Communicate with referral sources and family members in patients’ interest, complying with all confidentiality and patient rights standards and policies.

  • Participate in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring.

  • Assists DON with facilitation of nursing services department orientation.  Identify competency of staff and provide follow-up action to remedy deficiencies.

  • Participate in hospital emergency codes necessary to the unit’s and the hospital’s safe operation.

Job Requirements

Selected individual must hold a valid Georgia RN license as well as have previous psychiatric experience in a hospital setting. Previous management experience required.
