What Youll do

As Credit manager at Cisco, you are responsible for underwriting, negotiating and assuring the processing of loan, lease and Net 30 transactions. You will be responsible for adjudicating credit on behalf of Ciscos credit organization for the Americas Service Provider and Partner Segment. In addition to day-to-day credit responsibilities, you can contribute to operational improvements and cross-collaboration projects. This is a dynamic role, and different than a traditional reactive credit position. Our Credit Managers act as trusted business advisors and partner with teams across Cisco by providing research and information to help influence decision-making processes.


Who You'll Work With

Cisco's Global Credit & Risk Management team handles the extension of credit on behalf of Cisco. We support over $49B in revenue via our Trade & Channel programs and over $11B in term leases and loans via Cisco Capital.


Who You Are

You are an expert analyst within finance with a functional expertise in assessing payments over time. You have a business background with an emphasis in accounting or finance preferred. You can easily balance informed risk taking, business evaluation and enablement, to support go to market goals. You have strong analytical skills and are skilled in analyzing financial trends and portfolio management. You have strong communication, partnership and writing skills to make recommendations to the business.


Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • 5-7+ years related working experience
  • Strong analyst, go getter, who can verify facts with strong writing skills
  • Able to provide justification for approving payment structures
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, you understand ratios and trends and balance that with customers ability to repay
  • Ability to collaborate with sales, legal and operations to negotiate payment term documentation
  • Ability to understand impacts of contract defaults, remedies and their resulting impacts on revenue recognition and credit reserves.
  • You have a history of being trusted with approval authorities and making decisions with the facts at hand.
  • You thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, a self-starter that is able to work independently.
  • You dont mind leading or participating on special improvement projects around innovation and optimization.
