What You'll Do

The primary purpose of your role is to ensure the Technology Finance organization has a wide range of funding options that allows us to meet our growth and risk objectives.


Key roles and responsibilities:

Syndications:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain a Syndications Program (financing provider based) to supplement Cisco Systems Capital's (CSC) funding options
  • Own and maintain relationship with 3rd party financing providers participating in the Syndications Program; lead negotiator with financing providers for one-off transactions
  • Keep abreast with the macro environment (e.g., economy, industry, other) affecting CSC's funding strategy/requirements; develop overall pricing intelligence and report findings
  • Establish, maintain, and ensure all compliance requirements are met for the Syndications Program
  • Negotiate Syndication Agreements (e.g., terms and conditions, pricing, etc.) with 3rd party financing providers
  • Monitor, track, and report 3rd party financing providers key performance indicators (KPI) (e.g., volume, approval rates, conversion rates, delinquency, profitability, other.); lead quarterly management reviews of the Syndications Program
  • Actively partner with CSC credit and sales teams to ensure Cisco and CSCs objectives are achieved through the Syndications Program
  • Liaise with all CSC functional teams to ensure Syndications are executed effectively
  • Proactively monitor CSC's exposure risk (e.g., concentration, credit, other) and make recommendations to mitigate risk through the Syndications Program


Export Credit Agencies & Diversifies Financial Institutions:

  • Proactively engage with Export Credit Agencies & similar Diversified Financial Institutions to provide an ecosystem of partners that can support in the provision of major & strategic Cisco led opportunities that include 5G, Mobile 6, Smart Connected Cities or other major Enterprise related activities that support Cisco major country upgrade of network, SP enablement or Enterprise enablement.


Other:

  • With current market conditions & changing behaviors in customer consumption activities for networking related products & services, you will proactively engage in new activities that the business feels is important to move to in the medium/long term to drive the goals of Cisco. Like all successful employees in Cisco be able to be a utility player and business professional to tackle, own & assimilate to changes in business needs.


Who You'll Work With

You will help develop a growing need in the Cisco Capital Organization to build develop and manage a formal and long-term global framework and interact with:

  1. Syndications strategy & operations
  2. Current Export Credit Agencies & Diverse Financial Institutions that can support long term & major opportunities for Cisco to provide financial capabilities outside current support provided.
  3. Work with the Director of Technology Finance Partners & other executive team to commit to build new capabilities and opportunities that may arise based on current & evolving strategies within Cisco & Cisco Capital.


Who You Are

You are a self-starter who, with training & support is able to manage workloads based on agreed goals and objectives.

Your capabilities include:

  • Excellent knowledge of and the ability to research capital markets and secondary funding sources including requirements for syndications and DFI ecosystem.
  • Ability to work with Cisco and Cisco Capital cross-functional teams to execute on projects that have regional and global impact
  • Strong analytic, project management and compliance skills
  • Strong negotiation skills, previous interaction with Export Credit Agencies is preferred.
  • Strong executive presence, communication and presentation skills


Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Business Studies or Finance (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years equipment corporate banking, leasing, captive finance or finance experience
  • Working knowledge of the capital markets
