What Youll Do
As a Customer Delivery Architect supporting the US Army, you will play a major role in ensuring Cisco is fully integrated and delivering to the expectations of our customers and ensuring a consistently outstanding customer experience.  You will be in a key customer facing role, working closely with key players, throughout customer organizations, from the technical staff through the CXO level to build strong working relationships as a trusted advisor.  You will stay abreast of customer challenges and the Cisco solutions and/or Cisco Customer Experience offerings which can be proposed to mitigate or eliminate these challenges.  You will help ensure Cisco strategy is developed and executed to address current/future customer needs and business/mission objectives.

Who You'll Work With

Youll work across multiple Cisco teams to translate single solutions into repeatable solutions that can be highly leveraged.  Youll have significant customer interaction at the enterprise architecture level and will be expected to help shape and drive early stage pilots.  Youll have the opportunity, and an expectation, to share your thought leadership in various internal and external forums.  In addition to being aligned with the customers strategies, the Customer Delivery Architect is aligned closely with Cisco Customer Experience teams.  This includes: providing clear and concise customer requirements; ensuring the Cisco team is working towards the correct integrated solution for the customer; ensuring the customer understands proposed Cisco solutions; and that potential gaps or issues are identified quickly and escalated for resolution.  This includes providing key account updates to management while working across functional areas with Solution Architects and Network Consulting Engineers.

  • Identify customer business and technology needs with key customer stakeholders
  • Understand, drive customer / internal alignment and support execution of strategic initiatives
  • Provide business development support positioning services where applicable
  • Assist in scoping and determining level of effort for proposals and statements of work
  • Work with engineers to ensure delivery quality and scalability across all theater

Must Have Skills:

  • CCIE or equivalent experience
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in customer roles, within technical delivery, IT, or pre-sales product engineering
  • You must be a self-motivated individual that is dedicated to exceeding client expectations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills for both technical- and executive-level conversations
  • Ability to present complex solutions/ideas across all levels of participants
  • Working in a team environment as both a leader and an individual contributor
  • Architectural and integration expert in technical domains
  • Possess core skills in: problem solving, negotiating, business writing, customer relationship management, effective presentation, and active listening
  • Ability to travel 35%
