What Youll Do


The Americas Service Provider Verizon team is at the forefront of the transformation of Verizons network business as they pivot to next-generation technologies and new service enablers such as 5G and security.  We are hiring an Account Manager to join a dynamic team responsible for building new security solutions for our go to market relationship with Verizon. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with Verizon and the Cisco security product team to build new innovative security solutions Verizon can offer to its end customers. You will also be responsible for setting Ciscos overall security strategy with the Verizon CISO organization

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategic and day to day service creation & operational aspects for building new solutions with Verizons product and business teams


Specific duties will include:

  • Development and execution of new security solution strategies to build new offerings with Verizon
  • Team leadership and communication of priorities and progress across the Enterprise Operation
  • Accurate forecasting of the week, month, quarter, and FY, leveraging SFDC and its capabilities
  • Developing and expanding Relationships with Verizon and Cisco Partners
  • Effectively working with other Cisco internal organizations (e.g. Sales Engineering, Business Unit, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain) to drive customer requirements needed to achieve customer and Cisco business outcomes
  • This role requires travel to Customers and Partners

Who Youll Work With

This position reports to the Regional Director for the  Verizon Enterprise Operation business inside the Americas Service Provider Organization. The ability to collaborate and engage Sales and Engineering leaders across various internal and external organizations is a requirement, along with close collaboration with Business Units, Finance, and other organizations.  Executive presence, data at the ready, and the ability to create clarity for decision making is the foundation of success.

Creating a positive culture with priority on integrity, team, enabling the success of others, and achieving goals is paramount. Experience and track record of success building with partners and selling security to Enterprise IT and large Service Providers.  If you have experience and the desire to succeed in these areas this is the opportunity for you.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

                     BS or equivalent

                     5+ years selling solutions to planning, engineering and operations organizations at named accounts (preferably large service provider)

                     Demonstrated track record managing significant booking/revenue responsibility and overachieving targets to meet stretch goals

                     Business Development and Strategy experience required

                     Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision (both written and verbal) and influence cross-functionally

                     Adept at balancing intense short-term pressures with overall long-term goals

                     Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade -- using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way
