UHCGlobal Actuarial Consultant is the subject matter expert and trusted advisor for understanding and interpreting the key drivers and risk of US and international accident / health / other risks as they emerge and impact UHCGlobal Solutions businesses. This individual will be involved in the development of pricing models, methodologies, risk management, and assumptions.

The UHCGlobal Actuarial Consultant will identify, measure and mitigate risks; develop/file rates and research and conduct studies on pricing, both on US and non-US insurance licenses.

Youll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges. Preference will be given to candidates in the Central and Eastern time zones able to work in a UHG office.

Primary Responsibilities:

    Critically review, adapt, modify USA know-how to European and Latin American insurance environment

    ""

  • ""

    Prepare analysis, documentation, justification and certification for rate filings

    ""

    Analyze and update cost, methods and assumptions that are used in rating models

    ""
  • ""
  • ""

    Interact with Dental, Vision, Life and Disability actuarial teams to update current pricing and models

    ""
  • ""
  • ""

    Develop pricing and risk analytics for both U.S. and International claims costs

    ""
  • ""
  • ""

    Research multiple US statutes/regulations, interpret and recommend appropriate adjustments to comply with regulations

    ""
  • ""
  • ""

    Develop, apply, validate pricing methods and principles

    ""
  • ""
  • ""

    Retention modeling and validation

    ""
  • ""
  • ""

    Gather information and maintain product pricing platforms to store and enable access to relevant data across for each insurance business

    Extract and aggregate applicable data for projects (pricing, reserving, rate setting, trend analysis, profitability)

Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science or related field

    ""

    Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA)

    ""

    5+ years of progressive experience in actuarial and / or financial data analysis

    ""
  • ""
  • ""

    Advanced or higher level of proficiency in Excel

    ""
  • ""
  • ""

    Willing and able to work in various global time zones

    ""
