What Youll Do
The Network Services Business Unit (NSBU) is chartered with developing and accelerating Ciscos Consumption and As A Service (aaS) product portfolio. The Alliances Product Manager within the NSBU will be a key role in ensuring continued development of our Consumption and aaS offer evolution, with specific focus on evolving the strategy for existing partnerships, and developing new strategic partnerships to complement the portfolio. As such, we are looking for a seasoned professional to take a global lead as the NSBU Alliances Product Manager
Youll be joining a team that leads our most strategic partnerships with the worlds leading cloud providers, connectivity providers, ITSM and ISVs, and global device manufacturers. You will identify, craft, and manage complex alliance relationships involving the highest level of decision makers across Cisco and our alliance partners. You will need to effectively address complex business issues that arise when large companies partner and compete. You will develop insight into strategic partnership opportunities and competitive challenges for the leadership team. You will establish deep relationships across Cisco and our alliance partners. In addition, you will lead virtual teams to define and implement partnerships and the broader ecosystem strategy.
As such, we are looking for a seasoned professional to engage in the follow strategic imperatives:
1) Develop and execute on eco-systems partner strategy, ensuring tight interlock with the Product Business Entities, Sales, and Global Partner Organization (GPO)
2) Engage with all members of the NSBU leadership to ensure review/input to the partner strategy and its execution
3) Engage and own the interlock with Global Partner Organization (GPO) to ensure Partner and Partner Ecosystem alignment
Pivotal responsibilities are (in addition to the above):
Works closely with the Product Management Leads, and GTM team, to define, execute, and leverage engagements with key Alliance Partners, developing new processes to ensure successful and accelerated engagements
Understands the top-level portfolio vision, and the alliances partner value proposition, and is responsible for clearly and continuously communicating it back to leadership, key stakeholders, GPO, and partners
Understands the portfolio strategy, in support of execution of the vision; maintains tight alignment with other Business Units on cross-BU offers, and Sales and GPO on offer packaging, and the inclusion of Alliance partner offers
Effectively and collaboratively navigates portfolio transformation and competitive offer challenges as they arise; ensuring alignment with partner ecosystem strategies
Reviews and provides input to the assigned portfolio roadmaps, ensuring alignment with ecosystem partners
Owns elements of the portfolio pertaining to ecosystem partners development portfolio, continuously working to validate and improve the partner ecosystem strategies
Works with other product managers to define high-value synergies, cross-solution alignment, and effective packaging of ecosystem partner solutions
Drives effective interlock with other teams to ensure the roadmap is understood and stakeholder feedback is considered
Investigates and understands customer, partner, and competitive trends, challenges, and needs, and translates data into a future portfolio that delivers measurable outcomes, value, and differentiation to our customers and partners
Ensures regional nuances of the partner ecosystem, and ensures they are appropriately incorporated into portfolio decisions and priorities
Supports continuous improvement of all processes, methodologies, and services
Defines scope and cost modeling for assigned offers, associated with alliance partner offerings included within NSBU portfolio
Develops technical and business knowledge as necessary to meet evolving business requirements
Provides flexible support for other NSBU team duties as assigned
Proactively communicates with key stakeholder groups and NSBU business leaders in regard to strategy and execution
Who Youll Work With
The Alliances Product Manager reports to the Partner Portfolio Product Manager within the NSBU organization and develops Cisco ecosystem partner strategy and relationships, originates, incubates, and ensures operationalization of the key strategic alliances for NSBU. Your extended team includes business leaders from key functions across Cisco, like strategy, product, sales, customer experience, GTM, and operations.
You will work closely with the Product Management, GTM, Strategy & Operations, Engineering and GPO.

You have a deep knowledge of the Enterprise Networking and Cloud technologies in addition to consumption and as a services business models, pricing strategies and partner go to market disciplines.
To ensure success the Alliances Product Manager will possess:
Bachelors degree, or equivalent business experience; Masters Degree or MBA preferred
15+ years in Partner and Alliance program leadership, business and team leadership, Product Management, Portfolio Management, and/or consulting in a complex high-tech, multi-regional environment
Experience working with ITSM, ISV, and/or SaaS companies an advantage
Extreme detail and quality orientation, taking responsibility for success of all aspects of assignments whether they are directly responsible for completion or not
Experience in process development and improvement
A broad understanding of Ciscos Portfolio of products and services, customer base, and organizational structure is helpful, but not required
The capability to understand a problem or business need, and then define the detailed project path to address the problem area, all while maintaining understanding of the organizations end-state vision
You have demonstrated financial and business insight
You are flexible, can manage multiple and competing priorities, and can work in an extremely fast-paced environment
