About You

Were looking for someone who can confidently and credibly help lead the organization through a period of massive growth.  **Experience in MEDDIC, MEDDPIC is required.   This role will focus on teaching and coaching a team of technically focused experts in a sales dominated role.     Like all management positions at AppDynamics, the Sales Engineering / Enablement Director is expected to be hands-on, and leading from the front.    

The individual will contribute to sales and go-to-market strategy for Alliances and MSP businesses as well as driving the execution directly and indirectly.   Success will rely upon the individuals ability to build strong relationships with our Sales Leadership, Sales Enablement, Sales Engineers, Product teams, customers and partner stakeholders. The individual will need to be very comfortable giving and receiving positive and constructive feedback and adapting.



This team interfaces directly to leadership across Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Cisco and Partners to ensure we are delivering the right level and cadence of training to ensure the delivery of the maximum revenue for AppDynamics and OEM/Partner products.


  • Experience in running a sales process end-to-end in a high growth Enterprise complex software environment
  • An appreciation for technologies and the problems that it solves. This role would suit an individual who has moved from sales into an enablement role, or alternatively, a savvy seller that has technical competence, looking to coach others to be successful
  • Experience in MEDDIC, MEDDPIC, with a process minded approach to selling
  • Experience in accurate forecasting and a leading indicators model to sales
  • A passion for driving field excellence, and an understanding in driving multi-product sales
  • Driven by data, and feedback; exemplifying continual improvement at the core
  • Collaborate to develop best practices and help implement process improvements
  • A true relationship builder and partner to senior sales management and cross functional teams
  • Experience in sales forecasting technologies and *perhaps* has been through a transition
  • Brings ideas to the table on how to reduce the effort to sale
  • An outstanding coach and mentor, that appreciates the value of LAER
  • An in-depth understanding of ROI models and how they help facilitate closure
  • A pipeline generation master and natural champion builder
  • Experience in shifting compensation models, TCV to ARR, along with sales ownership of renewals
  • Experience working with sales operations on compensation models
  • Participate in the on-boarding of new hires
