At AppDynamics, our sales team is the heartbeat of the EMEAR Application Performance Monitoring Software business, and we are about to expand and grow our team in Central Eastern Europe.

Along with our continued, aggressive growth plans for EMEAR, we are now seeking an experienced Manager for our team of AppDynamics Sales Specialists to join the business.


What youll do:

As the Leader Sales Specialist for AppDynamics, you will lead a diverse team of Application / Software Sales Specialists and drive Ciscos success of AppDynamics in Central Easter Europe.

This role requires a broad expertise in people management, software sales, architecture sales and leadership capabilities. You need to be an outstanding coach and mentor, able to build and develop a team of top sales talent.

You have to evangelise our scientific, leading indicator and sales methodology, and drive adoption and expertise within the team to guarantee over-achievement against targets and quotas


Who youll work with:

You will be reporting to the AppDynamics Sales Executive for Germany & Central Eastern Europe, and lead a team of AppDynamics Sales Specialists. In addition to that you will engage with all areas of the Pre- and Post-Sales functions (including Services, Customer Success, Marketing, Channel, Legal, Finance, Operations, etc..). You will be working closely with People & Communities (HR) and be accountable for the hiring process within the team. You will work alongside with your Manager Sales Specialists peers across Central Eastern Europe and the rest of EMEAR.

Moreover, you will work with channel teams & partners, technology partners and collaborate with colleagues within Cisco on a day to day basis.


Who you are:

  • Strong background in complex software sales and have consistently overachieved against targets is mandatory.
  • Passionate People leader with a min. of 5 years experience to build, lead and develop a diverse and international Team of Software Sales Specialists.
  • Strong Sales Leader who has consistently overachieved ambitious and high growth sales targets.
  • Understand and experienced in the Central Eastern Europe market.
  • Proven track record of selling a variety of different Software, Applications and IT-Solutions to private and public customers.
  • Proven track record of building up reliable, long term relationships / partnerships across all levels within a customer, partner as well as within the employers Corporate Organization.
  • Understands the requirements, dependencies and the expectations towards a Multi-Product / X-Architecture Sales Specialists Team within a complex multi-dimensional global Sales Organization.
  • Demonstrate a true value based sales approach and have experience explaining complex return on investment models to C-Level customers that run small mid-market/commercial businesses up to global multi-national large Enterprise businesses and from across all vertical industries (e.g. Financial Services, Manufacturing, Automotive, Government).
  • Understands complex value based selling processes and has proven experience in explaining complex return on investment models to C level customers.
  • Track record of building up reliable, long term relationships / partnerships across all levels within a Customer-, Partner- as well as within the Cisco Organization.
  • Significant (practical) experience with MEDDIC (or equivalent) as a leading indicator driven sales processes.
  • Intimately understand the Land, Adopt, Expand, Renew (LAER) model.
  • Be comfortable with running an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) orientated function and understand the importance of post sales activities as well as customer satisfaction.
  • Understand the value of Professional Services and how to integrate services offerings into the sales process.
  • Understand how to build values with Channel- and Eco-System Partners.
  • Think differently, learn, and embrace new methodologies.
  • Constantly look for solutions to problems, and how to solve business pains.
  • An entrepreneur - run your patch like a business and know that owning your own pipeline generation is fundamental to your success.
  • You speak English fluently.
