AppD Senior Business Value Consultant

About the Role
AppDynamics is seeking a Business Value Consultant which is a critical, client-facing role. The Business Value Consultant will work closely with the Sales team to help consult the client in defining potential business value improvements that our solutions can help achieve. Responsibilities of the Business Value Consultant include:
- Engaging onsite and remotely with clients to perform operational assessments of development, QA, and production operations processes and tools
- Document gap analysis of clients current versus desired state, identifying specific opportunities for improvement leveraging AppDynamics capabilities
- Using in-depth business, technical, and financial analyses to understand the baseline and future capability of the client
- As part of this analysis, align client strategic business and technical objectives / initiatives with the required capabilities that AppDynamics provides
- Must understand Application Performance Management (APM) technology space, and apply knowledge of AppDynamics specific differentiators versus other vendors
- Producing and presenting the analysis summaries and consult the client on the impact to business value they can potentially achieve
- Provide a major contribution in AppDynamics high caliber, high expectation, and dynamic sales organization
- Continuous improvement, specifically help lead and build Value Selling and Realization processes, templates, and tools within AppDynamics
About You
- 5+ years experience as a business consultant, ideally in enterprise technology, or equivalent experience working with customers or key stakeholders to translate technical solutions into business value.
- Detailed understanding of ITIL, Operations Monitoring, Service Management, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile DevOps concepts and methodologies
- Experience and inquisitive personality to facilitate interview sessions with wide-ranging client roles and stakeholders
- Economics, Finance or related degree or experience
- Deep technology skills and experience, especially in the APM space
- Enterprise Business, IT Strategy and financial modeling experience
- Experience and effectiveness in presenting to an executive level audience
