We sell solutions and products that make our customers successful. Our focus is to find and solve customers most critical problems in Public Sector. As part of our Public Sales Team the Associate Account Manager is a key role within to support our Digitalization-Initiative in the area of Smart and Connected City and rule areas in order to become smart, attractive and sustainable places to work, live, learn and play in. The overall goal is to identify, plan and execute business engagements with big Public customers in order to support their digitalization efforts from strategy to execution and lead the engagement into a sales opportunity for Cisco.

 

What You'll Do

Your mission will be to sell Cisco Solutions in Public Sector, develop the accounts and relationships at the highest levels to address Cisco solutions in this domain and drive Business Outcome. You will own and nurture the relationships, building and executing the sales strategy. Your success will reflect in sales achievements, long-term customer relationships and satisfaction. Hitting personal targets and contributing to overall profitability, success and positive image of Cisco in the marketplace.

In this job, you will, 

  • Translate customers needs into potential solutions using Cisco products and services
  • Plan an engagement and get the buy-in of all other needed internal and external stakeholders for the engagement
  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities including forecasting against a quota
  • Develop customer relationships and gain understanding of their vision, strategy and needs around digitization and System Architectures and possible related solutions.
  • Identify potential opportunities in the area of IoT, Cloud, Datacenter, Security and Software Sales.
  • Translate customers needs into potential solutions using Cisco products and services
  • Plan an engagement and get the buy-in of all other needed internal and external stakeholders for the engagement
  • Focus on an outstanding customer experience and become your customers trusted advisor.
  • Understand customers business drivers, regulatory environment, code of business conduct, external influencers and current market development and trends in Public Sector

Who you are:

  • sales experience required in Public Sector and proven wins of large projects (e.g. Datacenter, Security, IoT)
  • Ability to create a big picture and to transfer this into concrete Cisco opportunities
  • Knowledge in doing Business with Public customers and experience with large RFPs in Public Sector and Frame Agreements. Knowledge of special public regulations.
  • Solid understanding in how to interact with Service Delivery and Sales
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven Experience with System Integrators for Public Sector Solutions
  • Understand customers business drivers, regulatory environment, code of business conduct, external influencers and current market development and trends in Public Sector.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of engagement or business models, business cases and practices
  • Solid understanding and experience in management of all aspects of sales support processes
  • Solid knowledge in developing, managing and forecasting a pipeline of opportunities using SFDC

Desired Skills

  • University degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, natural sciences or economics
  • Demonstrated experience with solution selling in Public Sector
  • Proven expertise in dealing with local government entities and facilities
  • Proven knowledge in building and providing segment specific solutions like for higher education, schools ore administration
  • Experience in dealing with frame contracts and internal public service providers
  • Strongly crosslinked with the German public community
  • Develop and deliver accurate sales forecasts in line with business objectives 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
