Individual Life Insurance seeks talented applicants for the position of Associate Actuary in the Individual Life End to End Modeling team supporting the PolySystems calc engines.  The primary focus of this position will be to support the development and maintenance the US Statutory, tax reserve, and GAAP / DAC valuation.  Major responsibilities include the support of the following activities:


 Supporting the implementation of regulatory updates in the projection modules, including Targeted Improvements
 Supporting experience assumption updates into the valuation systems
 Working with business partners across the organization on new modeling initiatives
 Documenting any system changes / issues, testing plans and results and having necessary controls in place for the integrity of the results generated by the system.
 Supporting actuarial valuation related projects and working closely with other cross-functional teams such as valuation, pricing, modeling, experience study, external and internal auditors / regulators.
 Managing and developing other actuarial team members.



Qualifications
@!*!

 ASA or close to FSA, with 4 years of actuarial experience preferred.
 Hands on experience with Statutory / GAAP financial reporting or actuarial modeling, and in-depth knowledge of traditional and interest sensitive life products is preferred.
 Prior experience with PolySystems or other actuarial and financial modeling software is a plus.
 Solid oral and written communication skills and be able to independently coordinate and collaborate with internal cross-function teams and external auditor / regulator.
 Highly motivated, and able to demonstrate leadership, initiative, and resourcefulness.
 Strong awareness of value and importance of controls 
 Strong computer skills (Excel, SQL, VBA, C )
