The role focuses on delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction through the production of quality products. Within their designated enterprise product line, Associate Product Managers work closely with teams of developers, designers, and business partners. They also manage progress tracking and financial monitoring for the product team. \u003Cbr /\u003E The Associate Product Manager works in close partnership with more senior Product Management resources on the team.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EMAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E20% - Strategy \u0026 Planning: \u003Cbr /\u003EListens to and knows the customers of the product; gains understanding of customer needs to help determine minimum viable product (MVP) as well as future needs \u003Cbr /\u003ECommunicates direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners \u003Cbr /\u003EIdentifies goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value; continually makes recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings \u003Cbr /\u003EManages and grooms the product backlog; makes future decisions based on the value that will be delivered \u003Cbr /\u003EMonitors research as well as the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best in class \u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cbr /\u003E60% - Delivery \u0026 Execution: \u003Cbr /\u003EFormulates, tests and refines assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing \u003Cbr /\u003EDocuments, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met \u003Cbr /\u003ECreates, prioritizes, and accepts user stories; incorporates them into release planning \u003Cbr /\u003EMakes product decisions that drive value on a daily basis \u003Cbr /\u003EIdentifies and considers pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements \u003Cbr /\u003EParticipates in stand-ups, iteration planning sessions, product demos, and retrospectives \u003Cbr /\u003ECondenses complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders \u003Cbr /\u003EUpdates Home Depot systems on a standard cadence (e.g., financials) \u003Cbr /\u003ECreates, documents, and posts product artifacts to centralized repositories \u003Cbr /\u003EManages the purchase order and invoicing process with 3rd party vendors \u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cbr /\u003E20% - People: \u003Cbr /\u003EFosters collaboration with team members (Engineering, UX, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments \u003Cbr /\u003EAdvocates for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the product, empathizing with and understanding user needs \u003Cbr /\u003EWorks with the product team to continuously assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and understand next steps\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003ENATURE AND SCOPE\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003ETypically reports to the Product Management Manager or Sr. Manager.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EEnvironment: \u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003ELocated in a comfortable indoor area.
