Supply Chain Business Support (SCBS) is a team that is dedicated to supporting the digital solutions that enable the clinical supply chain to operate efficiently while also ensuring a superior level of quality and compliance. One of the newest critical systems within the digital ecosystem is the Axis 360 build on the Microsoft AX 2012 R3 platform. This application is highly integrated with our distribution system and our vendor inventory systems. It is the primary system for inventory management, weigh and dispensing, manufacturing, packaging, quality release and labelling of Investigational Product that will be distributed to support the entire clinical portfolio including grant, expanded/ compassionate access studies and Phase I-III programs. Given the critical nature of this system and the growth in the clinical portfolio, this position will play an important role in ensuring seamless support, system configurations and reporting to support over 1000 users globally.

The Axis 360 Technical Lead will support key activities including global business system administration, troubleshooting, reporting, end-user support, training, inspection readiness and regulatory compliance. This position will interface closely with system users, other SCBS staff, Digital, Quality Assurance (QA) and vendors. This position will routinely participate on small to large scale cross-functional project teams to help assess technical impacts of business decisions, collection of business requirements, support the system validation process, participate in quality investigations, and ensure business needs are delivered on time, on budget and with superior quality.


+ Act as a first line of support for Axis 360 related technical support and process questions.

+ Support the System Development Lifecycle and ensure business deliverables are met.

+ Support all aspects of the system change control process (prioritization of new functionality, definition of user requirements, User Acceptance Testing, System Development Lifecycle document reviews, etc).

+ Responsible for participating on cross-functional project teams from a business perspective to design, develop, implement, enhance, migrate and/or interface systems.

+ Maintain awareness of the external environment (applications and services).

+ Work with the Digital organization on technical issues related to Axis 360, and the support of the infrastructure and technical architecture.

+ Design, develop and deliver training programs and/or documentation.

+ Develop, author and/or review relevant procedures.

+ Provide overall expertise in the areas of design, development, reporting and performance tuning.

+ Design and generate ad hoc and/or validated business reports.

+ Provide customer service support/represent Pfizer to internal & external customers.

+ Support quality investigations associated with clinical supply chain systems.

+ Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead or participate on projects that enhance supply chain systems and process.


+ Minimum 6 years of experience working in a clinical supply chain setting, preferably in digital or manufacturing or packaging role.

+ Degree in a Technical, Scientific or Business field required.

+ Project management experience and certification such as PMP, CBAP, AIM or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt a plus.

+ Experience and understanding of system validation / software development lifecycle.

+ Experience reviewing and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

+ Experience conducting or participating in root cause analysis using tools such as FMEA, 5-Why, Cause & Effect Matrix and/or Fish Bone diagram.

+ Comfortable preparing and presenting ideas and information in a variety of settings.

+ Must have strong inter-personal and customer service skills.


+ Skilled in a variety of reporting tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Alteryx and SQL tools.

+ Skilled in use of HP ALM Quality Center.

+ Skilled in Microsoft Office suite including advanced skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, OneNote, Teams and SharePoint.

+ Data visualizations skills a plus.

+ Technical writing skills a plus.

+ Must be able to quickly triage issues, escalate when needed and meet tight deadlines.


+ May require occasional after hours support, particularly on software release dates.
