Job Description


This is a position for a candidate with experience and demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to qualify, validate, execute and transfer assay methods for release and stability testing of biologic drug substances and products under GMP conditions.  Primary activities center on being able to perform cell-based assays and other plate-based assay methods such as ELISAs.  Assessing and maintaining local, regional and global regulatory compliance (ICH, GLP, GMP, EPA, OSHA, etc) are integral responsibilities of this position.  The incumbent may also be responsible for development projects.  The position includes writing of protocols, reports, and project documents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform release and stability testing, and provide review and approval of documentation.
  • Lead or participate in qualification, validation and method transfer activities.
  • Notify management of unexpected results, procedural deviations and equipment problems.
  • Write and revise standard operating procedures, work instructions, and laboratory policies, procedures and standard practices.  Author methods, protocols and reports.  May draft sections of the INDs and BLAs.
  • Participate in laboratory investigations.
  • Recommend solutions to complex problems. 
  • Critically evaluate data and provide conclusions.
  • Respond to technical questions and problems.
  • Actively contribute to the maintenance of a clean, safe working environment in the laboratories.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology with 8+ years of experience in laboratory setting with cell/plant-based assays OR
  • Master's degree in Biology with 5+ years of experience in laboratory setting with cell/plant-based assays
  • 2+ years of GMP, GLP and/or GCP experience
