Overview Brand Innovation Strategy Director We are looking for a Brand Innovation Strategy Director to support our Global Design Innovation team. The Design Innovation team is part of the PepsiCo Design Center and aims to incite positive change for people, brands, business, and the world around us. Responsibilities We are looking for a Brand Innovation Strategy Director to support us on our mission. The Brand Innovation Strategy Director is thought leader responsible for leading, shaping and driving strategic brand initiatives and thinking across a range of brand Innovation programs within the Design Innovation team. You will lead and collaborate with the design team to deliver projects, from generating insights to brand strategy through to creative briefs. The ideal candidate is both a creative and strategic thinker who has deep empathy for people and culture and a passion for creating purposeful brands and meaningful experiences. You will apply strategic, analytical, and creative thinking to solve challenging issues across a range of brand topics e.g., extending existing ones into new territories or new cohorts, and when relevant developing new brands. Traditional brand strategy tasks including, positioning, DNA definition, brand architecture, naming, etc. The position requires someone who has a depth of experience leading and shaping strategic initiatives across innovation, as well as traditional brand strategy programs with CPG background a must. Foundational Research: lead brand specific learning plans and research to inform strategic recommendations, driving understanding of people, markets, categories, brands, and culture. Strategy Development: you will be able to synthesize information to identify opportunities, crafting compelling and brand strategies. Creative Team Oversight: translate strategies into actionable design briefs to support an agile make to learn creative team that you will oversee and energize with strategic direction. Our ideal candidate is: Dynamic, self-motivated leader with significant experience understanding different types of brand and business challenges Has expert level brand strategy experience (director level at agency or client-side) Significant experience working with creative teams with the ability to translate strategies into actionable design direction Strong storyteller, able to construct simple compelling narratives and frameworks Has worked extensively with CPG FMCG brands Strong interpersonal skills as a team leader and team player with significant experience managing teams Ability to work in an ambiguous and dynamic work environment; is comfortable with risk and uncertainty Effectively build relationships and influence senior levels in the organization across regions and functions Drive for results, able to influence and accomplish tasks through formal and informal channels Strong understanding human-centered research and design actionable principles Experience leveraging Design Thinking and Human-centered design methods to create brand innovation strategies a plus Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $ 113,300 - $ 226,600 Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 25% paid out Annually And an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period. Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance. Experience working in design or innovation setting (consulting, agency, or client-side) Managerial experience / leading teams a must MBA not required, but a plus Covid-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment dependent on role and location.
