What's Your Role?

The Senior Manager will drive strategic & tactical planning on the Allied Brand Categories by leading analytic insights, identifying big bet opportunities for Net Revenue growth, outlining courses of action to enable the sales team to attain their annual objectives and goals. This role is accountable for leading with shopper and sales insights, developing and managing the Shopper Learning Agenda through owning content development for selling tools and stores.

Additionally, the role will be responsible for working cross-functionally among Commercial Sales Planning, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Analytics, and Finance to navigate a path for sustained growth in a highly complex and quickly evolving set of categories, representing $2.3B in annual sales. This position will report to the Vice President of Allied Brands. Key constituents are Senior Director of Rockstar Energy, Directors of KDP and Non-Carb Allied Brands as well as division Sales, Marketing, Category Management, Insights and Analytics, as well as Sales Directors (across channels).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, quantify, and prioritize cross-channel strategies and tactics as part of Strategic Business and Annual Operating Plan [$2.3B in Net Revenue annually], including channel/pack mix management, price realization, and share implications
  • Developing annual Learning Agenda through independent research on category, competitive analysis, shopper insights from scan/panel data, ultimately working closely with Marketing, Shopper and Consumer Insights to develop actionable tactics for optimizing sell-in of new product innovation and retail execution performance
  • Drive disruptive change by leading in-market tests and strategic Division initiatives, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert for customer and division meetings
  • Lead Innovation Planning process across Sales, Marketing, and Finance functions setting Field KPIs for Assortment and Innovation
  • Primary driver of turnkey selling tools, including the development of the insights-driven storyline and customer-centric selling materials
  • Lead and guide other team members on ad-hoc Division/National Account projects and initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor degree, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive sales, category management, and strategy experience
  • The ability to lead without formal authority, influencing and securing resources
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, organizational awareness and strategic influencing skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to drive decisions through critical thinking and structured problem solving
  • Advanced understanding of syndicated and consumer Data (IRI, AC Nielsen, etc.)
  • Experience managing third-party vendors to drive Learning Agenda research
  • Strong understanding of P&L Drivers
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Advanced experience with Excel, PowerPoint and database management skills
  • Project Management Skills
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
