As a Business Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for aiding in eliciting, designing, and advancing business capabilities across Optum Frontier Therapies, whether it be on behalf of a specific client program implementation, or an internal business initiative. This role is accountable for supporting the innovation and implementation technology strategy for new client projects, developing new service offerings and collaborating with other Business Solution Architects.

A Business Solutions Architect is the critical translator between business team members (Product, Operations, Strategy, Clinical) and technology teams (Product Owner, Scrum Teams). This role is all about connection and communication to drive clear, structured design through to successful execution. Architects need to be able to listen, probe, visualize, teach, advise, influence and negotiate, all while navigating complex project ecosystems to drive clarity and results.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver high quality functional solutions, which can translate to technical requirements, for our applications, products and services across all technology functions
  • ""
  • Support the development of business requirements, functional designs, process maps, and materials associated with business process and technology solutions
  • ""
  • Consult with users and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems for supporting those processes
  • ""
  • Aid in supporting synergistic systems and processes, enforcing standards and methods consistently across the enterprise
  • ""
  • Collaborate with other Business Solutions Architects and Product Owner(s) to communicate and reflect business priorities in the sprint backlog
  • ""
  • Evaluate alternative business process and technology solutions and participate in making technology recommendations to enhance business operations
  • ""
  • Work collaboratively with peers in the Product & Engagement team, Operations, Clinical, and Technology functions, and with external stakeholders to coordinate the overall delivery of technology solutions to business groups
  • ""
  • Develop strong working knowledge of the industry, clients and technology trends; leverage this information to support the continuous improvement of business services with custom built solutions or integrations with other vendors
  • ""
  • Works in conjunction with senior leaders in other functional areas to help support program launches, scope expansions and the development of new business capabilities are supported and delivered within the business architecture

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of business analysis experience OR 2+ years working in a program management office or technology department
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Visio, Excel, PowerPoint) and an ability to easily learn and adopt new technology tools
  • ""
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on being able to logically structure thoughts and create organized visuals for stakeholders
  • ""
  • Proven ability to understand business processes and translate into technical specifications
  • ""
  • Solid problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills with an ability to work consultatively with partners
  • ""
  • Experience using a client-focused approach with solid interpersonal skills
  • ""
  • Demonstrated ability in communicating/presenting to executive level leadership
  • ""

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
