Sodexo is seeking an Chef Manager for Nebraska Medicine Bellevue.  Bellevue Medical Center is part of the Nebraska Medicine Healthcare System and was named to Becker's Hospital Reviews list of 100 Great Hospitals in America for seven straight years.  Bellevue, NE has a population of 54,000 and is part of the greater Omaha metropolitan area. Conveniently located 10 minutes from downtown Omaha, 2.5 miles to Offutt AFB, and 50 minutes from Lincoln Nebraska.


The Chef Manager leads a $1.4 million full service fee account and will have oversight of patient services (At Your Request) and a cafe, which is open daily 6:30 2pm. Typical shift is M-F, 6am - 3pm. 


We are looking for candidates who will:

  • Manage the food production process including production planning and controls for At Your Request patient services and retail.
  • Develop and maintain excellent client and customer relationships with a front of the house presence;
  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality and presentation;
  • Manage food costing, budget controls and compliance;
  • Ensure food sanitation compliance;
  • Develop menus and manage ordering and inventory;
  • Have high expectations for customer service;
  • Have the ability to develop and train frontline staff;
  • Provide a safe work environment;
  • Knowledge of Sodexo Systems is preferred, but not required. 


The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with culinary trends and wellness programs
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Strong management skills.

Position Summary

Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables.  May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

Key Duties- Executes the culinary function.- Customer & Client satisfaction.- Handles administrative functions. 



Qualifications & Requirements
