  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • The CHRO/VP Human Resources will be an integral member of the executive management team and will serve as a system resource across Trinity Health. This individual will be charged with leading the transformation of human resources as Trinity Health looks to evolve to a fully integrated, strategic human resources model. She/he will develop and convey a new vision of human resources that brings in new thinking and perspective throughout the system. The CHRO/VP Human Resources will advise and partner with leadership concerning a variety of organizational initiatives and work closely within the system to translate strategic priorities into initiatives that promote the well-being of all colleagues.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
    • Licenses and Certifications Required
    • Educational Requirements
      • An undergraduate degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, industrial relations, organizational behavior, or similar area of focus is required, or 10 plus years of work experience as HR Director in healthcare setting.
      • A graduate degree is preferred.
    • Experience Requirements
      • The successful candidate will have the following experience, preferably within a prominent healthcare system:
        • A successful track record and experience in leading an effective, contemporary human resources department, implementing human resources best practices, and creating a transformational human resources department.
        • Proven ability to lead cultural transformation while demonstrating an ability to communicate and engage others.
        • Ability to create a culture of pride and personal accountability.
        • Solid understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the human resources function in either a hospital/group setting, healthcare system, or an organization of similar complexity. She/he will be a systems-thinker and have a strong record of accomplishment of working with a large workforce in a multi-site environment.
        • Broad knowledge of technical elements involved in human resources with specific functional experience in strategic recruitment and retention, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits, organizational development, and change management.
        • Is financially savvy and metrics-driven.
        • Strong project management skills and is able to prioritize and adjust based on the changing needs of the organization.
        • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing others.
        • A history of positive employee relations experience.

      • Strong leadership skills, including delegation, follow-through, accountability, and leading by example.
      • A consensus builder who understands, listens, and encourages expression of other points-of-view. Employs a collaborative management style, respecting the dignity of all individuals.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
