What Youll Do

The IT- consolidation of the German Government is one of the largest initiatives in EMEA. The successful support of our Federal administration customers in the transition of ensuring information security in an increasingly complex IT environment will be necessary for the new Federal Client Director.

Setting therefore the Federal vision as part of the overall German Public organisation in Germany, providing a strategy and executing together with the team will be the key success factors for this role.

The Client Director will be responsible for all Government, Defense and Federal Agency for Work customers and will report directly to the Public Sales Director in Germany.

This key leadership role is going to continue the development of our sales delivery model, enhance and evolve the capabilities of our highly talented and motivated sales organization as well as influencing political stakeholders within the market.

Who Youll Work With

You will be expected to motivate, inspire, and continually develop the entire Federal Team. This includes all direct- and non-direct organizations associated with the Federal Team such as:

Partner-, Sales Specialist-, Pre Sales-Organizations as well as the related Customer experience team.

The role is also expected to build and maintain important political relationships together with Ciscos government affairs organization and the Public Director.

General responsibilities include:

  • Drive revenue growth in product and services within the overall Federal Sales Teams
  • Drive Ciscos transformation to RO and a CX based lifecycle approach
  • Align with the overall German Public Team and Global Public Sector priorities
  • Executive Relationships with internal / external partners (SVP/EVP/State Secretary)
  • Continuously building a dynamic, diverse team with clear development paths.
  • Responsible controlling of Opex for all of the Team under their remit.

Who You Are

You should have:

  • 5-10 years of experience as Regional Manager, Operations Director or Client Director.
  • 5+ years senior management experience, you should possess both sales leadership and cross functional/general management experience.
  • Consistent track record leading significant revenue responsibility and overachieving targets to meet stretch goals.
  • Knowledge about public procurement law and strategy experience are required.
  • Strong ability to build and deepen important relationships internally and externally
  • Proven ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision (both written and verbal) and influence cross-functionally.
  • Adept at balancing intense short-term pressures with overall long-term goals.
  • Strong executive presence and political savvy
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching and developing a large sales team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way.
  • Proven ability to build and lead in a matrix-managed team culture.
  • Creativity, courage and balanced risk taking are qualities we are aiming for.
  • Globally Diverse in understanding culture and business practices around the globe

Finally, this executive should have a level of business maturity, flexibility and the instincts to adapt to a high-energy, dynamic environment characterized by high growth expectations and a collaborative culture.
