This function includes employees who are in dedicated on- site service roles. Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales. Account management jobs focused primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs with significant sales responsibilities or sales - related incentives (including 'OTH' plans) belong in a sales band. Must be able to work at local client site in Baton Rouge when not traveling.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts
  • Negotiates renewal contracts and upsell products to clients
  • Acts as outward - facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts
  • Builds relationships with employer / group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day - to - day service delivery
  • Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
  • Identifies solutions to non - standard requests and problems
  • Solves moderately complex problems and / or conducts moderately complex analyses
  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Translates concepts into practice
  • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
  • Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others
  • Acts as a resource for others with less experience
  • Balances data and cost information with the unique end of life care given by the clients is part of this position
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, collaborate with internal teams to create solutions and strategic building with clients are necessary

  • High School"Diploma / GED
  • 4+ years'"experience within an Account management role
  • Ability to"travel 10- 15 % of the time (Visits to Hospice Offices outside of Baton Rouge"may include overnight stay)
  • Health Care"Experience in direct or indirect role with patients
  • If you need"to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for"symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e.,"entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved"symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required"to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any"state and local masking orders
