This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday."Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift"schedules during our normal business hours of 12:00pm - 8:30pm. It may be"necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Overtime is"Saturday / Sunday 10a - 2p. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage"administrative tasks related to Pharmacy processes

  • Work"with Pharmacy staff and the clinical team to manage requests for services from"members and/or providers

  • Process"incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake,"notification of services or issues

  • Assist"the Pharmacy staff to decide on next steps

  • Handle"resolution/inquiries from Pharmacy staff and clients

This"is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient,"productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone. You also must"be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of customer service experience

  • Experience with Microsft Word (create, edit, save documents). Microsoft Excel (edit tables, open/sort, document manipulation) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)

  • Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT)
  • You will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's US Telecommuting Policy
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance

  • Experience working Pharmacy setting

  • A clerical or administrative support background

  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes

  • Experience working in a call center
