The Business Operations Manager reports to the Associate Director of Business Operations and is accountable for the On-Demand Medicine South Division: a multi-site, multi-million dollar clinical operation comprised of urgent cares and walk-in clinics. By collaborating with clinical and physician leadership, the division manager achieves the Quadruple Aim while driving financial and operational performance, ensuring a positive and productive relationship with internal and external stakeholders, and developing strategies to implement organizational mission, vision and values.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Live and model UHG values of Integrity, Compassion, Relationships, Innovation, and Performance
  • ""
  • Act as dyad partner to the Associate Medical Director and operations partner to RN Manager
  • ""
  • Provide leadership to a team of business operations staff; responsible for recruitment, training, supervision, performance, and retention of employees
  • ""
  • Contribute to strategic planning for On Demand Medicine and effectively manages resources to ensure execution
  • ""
  • Manage multi-million-dollar P&L in a capitated environment
  • ""
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to improve access, reduce total cost of care, improve quality, and improve patient and team experience
  • ""
  • Apply Lean methodology to improve processes, reduce waste, and maximize value-added time
  • ""
  • Ensure buildings and equipment are maintained in working order and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • ""
  • Manage interdepartmental operations, including referrals, prior authorizations, and lab results
  • ""
  • Ensure efficient revenue cycle operations, including copay capture and charge entry
  • ""
  • Manage clinic inventory and promotes efficient supply chain operations
  • ""
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations as well as company policies, processes, and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, public health, or related field, OR HS Diploma and 4 or more years of relevant experience
  • ""
  • 3+ years of business or healthcare experience
  • ""
  • Experience managing teams
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.
