Sodexo Healthcare is seeking a Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team as a Clinical Nutrition Manager at our growing hospital at Texoma Medical Center. This facility is centrally located approximately 1 hour North of Dallas/Forth Worth metroplex, and just south of the Oklahoma border in Denison, Texas, boasts a very affordable cost of living and is a lakeside community of Lake Texoma.


There are more than 3,500 employees; 400-plus active, courtesy and consulting physicians on staff; and over 120 volunteers at Texoma Medical Center (TMC) who are experienced and trained to meet the healthcare needs of the community. In addition, TMC operates a number of locations throughout the Texoma region. The hospital offers major specialty services, including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources, such as certified trauma care, support TMC's role as a regional specialty center. TMC's services include cardiology, with a specialty in open heart surgery, as well as robotic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, stroke care, bariatric (weight-loss) surgery, emergency medicine, rehabilitation and more. Position will report to General Manager and selected candidate will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian with Texas State licensure
  • Have at minimum 2 years of basic management experience and 3 years of work experiences in an acute care facility
  • Oversee 4 Dietitians and 5 Per Diem Dietitians
  • Be responsible for managing and developing a team to foster successful patient care programs and supervise the clinical team and be directly involved with the general management team
  • Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services reporting directly to the General Manager
  • Have demonstrated skills to manage and develop a clinical staff, monitoring and evaluation of nutrition care services accreditation and regulatory readiness and review; and establishing and maintaining standards of care


The Ideal candidate will:


  • Maintain a highly visible role with client interaction, representing the department on hospital-wide medical staff committees
  • Have a track record of proactive interaction with the medical team, be an outstanding team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Have prior experience with electronic medical records charting, the nutrition care process and with prior experience with patient meal service programs
  • Responsible for oversight of specialized care units such as NICU, ICU, Rehab and behavior health.
  • Preferred advanced degree and/or specialty credentials

Position Summary

Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a large account, system or multiple accounts under the same contract or multiple contracts in a defined region.  Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.Key Duties-Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met. -Establishes and executes operating standards, implements quality improvements, manages the budget and communicates them to other departments. -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services.-Promotes nutrition services and stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice. -Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).-Assists in the development of new business service(s) for the client, regional or national initiatives, projects, and implements the service program(s).



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
