Sodexo Healthcare is seeking a Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team as a Clinical Nutrition Manager at our growing hospital at Texoma Medical Center. This facility is centrally located approximately 1 hour North of Dallas/Forth Worth metroplex, and just south of the Oklahoma border in Denison, Texas, boasts a very affordable cost of living and is a lakeside community of Lake Texoma.

 

There are more than 3,500 employees; 400-plus active, courtesy and consulting physicians on staff; and over 120 volunteers at Texoma Medical Center (TMC) who are experienced and trained to meet the healthcare needs of the community. In addition, TMC operates a number of locations throughout the Texoma region. The hospital offers major specialty services, including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources, such as certified trauma care, support TMC's role as a regional specialty center. TMC's services include cardiology, with a specialty in open heart surgery, as well as robotic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, stroke care, bariatric (weight-loss) surgery, emergency medicine, rehabilitation and more. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is consistently chosen as the best medical facility by readers of the Herald Democrat's Best of Texoma poll.

 

 

Position will report to General Manager and selected candidate will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian with Texas State licensure
  • Have at minimum 2 years of basic management experience and 3 years of work experiences in an acute care facility
  • Oversee 4 Dietitians and 5 Per Diem Dietitians
  • Be responsible for managing and developing a team to foster successful patient care programs and supervise the clinical team and be directly involved with the general management team
  • Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services reporting directly to the General Manager
  • Have demonstrated skills to manage and develop a clinical staff, monitoring and evaluation of nutrition care services accreditation and regulatory readiness and review; and establishing and maintaining standards of care

 

The Ideal candidate will:

 

  • Maintain a highly visible role with client interaction, representing the department on hospital-wide medical staff committees
  • Have a track record of proactive interaction with the medical team, be an outstanding team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Have prior experience with electronic medical records charting, the nutrition care process and with prior experience with patient meal service programs
  • Responsible for oversight of specialized care units such as NICU, ICU, Rehab and behavior health.
  • Preferred advanced degree and/or specialty credentials

Position Summary

Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a large account, system or multiple accounts under the same contract or multiple contracts in a defined region.  Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.Key Duties-Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met. -Establishes and executes operating standards, implements quality improvements, manages the budget and communicates them to other departments. -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services.-Promotes nutrition services and stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice. -Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).-Assists in the development of new business service(s) for the client, regional or national initiatives, projects, and implements the service program(s).

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
