Primary Responsibilities:

  • ""
    Drives execution of clinical provider data by assisting the Advanced Medical Home (AMH) and Maternal Child Health (MCH) teams in successful program deployment and improved outcomes
    ""

    Partners with AMH, MCH, Clinical Quality and other Health Plan leaders to ensure data strategies are in place for the AMH program, MCH program and quality improvement provider support
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Partners with Sr. Clinical Quality Data Analyst to ensure data analytics strategy and support are in place around quality outcomes, CP-PCPi program outcomes, contractual compliance, AMH and MCH program operations and business objectives
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Collaborate with supervisor, AMH and MCH teams to ensure clarity of understanding the associated data and contribute to development of recommended actions and best practices
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Assist AMH and MCH teams in discussions around data analysis, data interpretation, different data visualization strategies including differences in databases, and basic data sharing and management of resources
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Assist providers with analyzing and interpreting data to quickly identify problems, patterns, and high-risk activities
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Participate in internal and external meetings using effective and efficient meeting tactics
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Assist in generation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports required by the contract and all ad hoc report requests made by UHCCP NC AMH and MCH teams
    ""

  • ""
    Track, report, and monitor report submissions to the State using State defined processes
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Gather and document clinical data, operational data, and report requirements
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad hoc reports including provider-facing reports
    ""
  • ""
  • ""
    Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities (e.g. operational and performance-based reporting for AMH and MCH programs; AMH quality measures; value-based payment; access and availability, healthy opportunity and opioid strategies; EPSDT policies; and behavioral health integration; shared customer relationship management system reporting; Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meetings, etc.)

    Assist in design and creation of data visualizations (reports and dashboards) to support operational needs, improve provider performance and support user stories

    Familiar with data that is in the data warehouse and in the various reporting tools

    Assists in the development and completion of requested estimates, work plans, project task items and schedules
    ""

    Cross-collaborate on any identified cross-functional team for ongoing needs that require the involvement of a subject matter expert

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics or Informatics, Business, Health Administration, Public Health or related field; or at least 4+ years of comparable work experience with data analysis and reporting
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience integrating data from large relational databases
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience performing significant data analysis and report development through the use of BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, SAS, Qlik, etc.
  • ""
  • 2+ years of advanced proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems (MS Project, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • ""
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • ""
  • Analytical skills such as data interpretation, trending, statistical analysis
  • ""
  • Data management and project management skills
  • ""

  • 2+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines

  • Experience with health care analytics, or driving clinical transformation initiatives with population health programs, Patient Centered Medical Homes or in the managed care industry
  • ""
  • Experience working with HEDIS software vendors (management, building relationships, issue resolution etc.)
  • ""
  • Intermediate statistical knowledge and application of continuous quality improvement concepts, such as Six Sigma, Lean, and / or PDSA
