The Cloud and Hosted Collaboration Sales organization is tasked to innovate, support and execute on the company strategy to accelerate growth of cloud based, collaboration services through Partners to market, and to enable growth of the full suite of Collaboration products offered by Cisco. The Cloud and Hosted Collaboration sales team are passionate about the products and services we offer and the partners we work with to drive the rapid migration of premised based services to the cloud. The Cloud Technical Solutions Specialist bridges the communication between partners, customers and internal product teams. The role requires to support and champion product needs, requirements and issue resolution by communicating with organizations such as sales, support, operations and product management.

What Youll Do

The TSA is a high profile role in building strategic relationships and involves the following elements:

  • Service creation with Service Provider Resellers: Ensuring that partners successfully define offers based on the Cisco Collaboration portfolio and effectively take the offers to the market.
  • Technical presentations, demonstrations and proof of concepts: Presales ownership for the overall technical solution proposition including executing proof of concepts and demonstrations of the Cisco Collaboration portfolio and presentations to a larger audience.
  • Partner support and strategy definition: Become instrumental to the Partners success, take part of Partner reviews and drive the technical cloud collaboration strategy.  Ensure the partner is able to demonstrate effectively
  • Bid response management: Responsible for the technical response of cloud requests for information/quotation processes and coordinating with internal teams to reach a high-quality outcome.
  • Understanding and knowledge of SP Billing, Orchestration, Provisioning and Assurance processes

The role will primarily be partner and customer focused and will require face-to-face engagement. It is expected that you need to travel approximately 20% of your time. International travel may be required.

Who You Are

Your qualifications and core technical and personal strength should meet aspects of the following attributes:


  • Ability to work effectively and with little supervision and make valuable contributions to the team through technical leadership
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills and define solutions for a business opportunity
  • Ability to listen to customer needs and work out a solution that aligns to their requirements for collaboration
  • Willingness to take ownership of a solution for a customer


  • Education at least at Bachelor of Science or equivalent level and 5+ years industry experience
  • Solution design skills with at least one of the Cisco collaboration products (for example Webex Meetings, Webex Calling, Hosted Cisco Unified Call Manager)
  • Experience in pre-sales engagements
  • Strong IT and telecommunications networks, design, security or architecture skills
  • Experience in working with SPs and knowledge of their processes and systems
  • Confirmed ability to implement, drive and track project engagements


  • Strong understanding of workflows for end user telephony features
  • Knowledge and validated experience in unified communications and collaboration solutions and design. Contact Centre experience is desirable, but not mandatory
  • Experience with VoIP network architectures, including various network elements such as QoS, SBC, VPN, MPLS, IP routing and knowledge of IP-Phones and mobile device related topics
  • Strong understanding of VoIP and networking protocols including SIP, RTP, HTTP, TLS, SSH, etc.
  • Understanding of business models for value added reseller channels and enterprises related to cloud services and knowledge of the enterprise calling market and competitive landscape

Soft Skills:

       Fluency in Japanese (both written and verbal) and English  (both written and verbal),

  • Excellent documentation, communication, presentation, listening and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to operate independently and self-motivated but also comfortable in being part of a larger team
  • Effective time and project management skills and diligent with an attention to detail
  • Embrace continuous education daily for business related topics and personal development
