Your Role and Responsibilities
Cloud Managed Services delivery team is looking for Storage administrators to work for one of the IBMs leading projects. We deliver BAU support for Cloud Managed Services as well, as Private Cloud infrastructures. You will work with experienced administrators to address daily issues as well as implement new solutions and incoming request, for constantly evolving environment. Our team has a great knowledge base in place, as well as self-development boosting work environment.
We work as EU team designated to deliver support in line with our global counterparts.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily BAU support for incoming incidents
  • Troubleshooting of reported issues
  • Servicing incoming requests
  • Status reporting
  • Storage administration tasks
  • Storage software maintenance
  • Storage device configuration
  • Performance tuning
  • Infrastructure designing and advisory
  • Automation development and implementation
  • Support oncall shifts

Technology scope:
  • IBM SAN Volume Controller
  • IBM XIV Storage
  • IBM DS8000
  • Storwize V5000, V7000
  • Hitachi G800 and G1500 Data Stores
  • Brocade SAN switches
  • Spectrum Control
  • IBM Network Advisor

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
  • At least 2 years experience in installing and managing SAN infrastructure
  • At least 2 years experience in installing, configuring and using IBM XIV Storage, IBM SAN Volume Controller and IBM V7000
  • At least 2 years experience in implementation and management of IBM or Brocade Fibre Channel SAN Infrastructure, Fibre Channel Directors
  • At least 1 year experience in implementation and management of IBM Tivoli Productivity Center (TPC), IBM Network Advisor (or Brocade Network Advisor)
  • Perform Advanced config of SAN/disk devices
  • Perform Complex config of SAN/disk devices
  • Perform advanced Logical Disk, Raid, LUN Configuration
  • Perform complex Logical Disk, Raid, LUN Configuration
  • Perform zoning
  • Perform allocation with Zoning/Copy Services
  • Troubleshoot storage performance issues
  • Perform Complex PD/Resolution
  • Provide Configuration Info for Advanced DISK, RAID, Logical LUN Copy
  • Apply IBM Security Processes into storage devices
  • Install storage management tools
  • Perform microcode/firmware upgrade
  • Perform DR (Disaster Recovery) Activities
  • On site initial configuration tasks (occasionally)
  • Team working oriented mindset
  • Work under pressure
