HRI Hospital is seeking a proactive and forward thinking Community Relations & Business Development Coordinator. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. HRI Hospital offers competitive compensation and benefits including health, life and dental insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

As the Community Relations & Business Development Coordinator, you will:

  • Identify creative communication methods
  • Strategize to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contribute to the outreach efforts on the part of the hospital staff
  • Identify priority programs for sales efforts and expected outcome of visit
  • Participate in the development and/or updating of marketing communications material to support the community relations/sales program
  • Assist in strategic planning process by identifying organization strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, as well as identification of new programs and services
  • Make suggestions and develops proposals on areas of opportunity for services, referral or program development
  • Ensure departmental/clinical staff follow-through on issues to ensure high level of referral satisfaction and account maintenance
  • Maintain up-to-date database on Hospital competitors including tracking and reporting relevant changes in Boston area marketplace activity
  • Ensure current awareness of changes in the industry through self-education, peer education, professional and community involvement
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and other community events to foster network development activity

Job Requirements


  • Education: Bachelors degree
  • Experience: Three or more years of marketing or sales experience required, preferably in a health care environment. May have behavioral health clinical experience with proven ability to excel in a marketing role.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to have clear, verbal communications, sit/drive for prolonged periods of time, and perform computer/word processing operations. Ability to handle moderate stress in performing multiple tasks. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Other: Excellent verbal and written communication, outstanding customer service skills, strong computer skills (Microsoft Office). Ability to work as a team member with critical thinking skills related to problem-solving and sales strategy. Extensive travel in MA specifically in targeted, assigned communities/accounts.
