What Youll do


Drive application solution development with both established and emerging systems and platform owners across Cisco that support CI functions. Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers and our organisational imperatives to articulate our business to stakeholders, IT partners, and other relevant internal organisations.

Working closely with the entire team across the CI Org, create frameworks for driving consistent project execution and reporting through best practice and education. With tools for basic project planning, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, communication, change management, collaborative knowledge sharing, and documentation. Responsible for creating a self-sustaining program framework, repeatable and easily maintained.


Roles & Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will be working within the sales organisation with the ultimate responsibility of helping us accelerate sales via the Competitive Intelligence services that we provide. This project manager's primary responsibility would be to interface with internal Cisco IT and platform owners to support and drive the CI Orgs interests. Create and drive structure and accountability around joint solution development.

Maintain subject matter expertise by staying up to date on key organisational initiatives, technology concepts, business planning activities and timelines on the general system functions and capabilities. Manage a stakeholder engagement and communication plan that centres on our internal project framework, processes and templates.

Working closely with the Program Manager and the rest of the Scaling Engine Team, be accountable for delivering critical project-related artifacts and templates, tracking project progress and reporting as it aligns to our overarching roadmap.


Initial Deliverables and Metrics:


Working with stakeholders across CI and IT, develop and align processes to support our Tools and Platform Management projects already in flight. Key platforms include SFDC, KLUE, PCI, ClaIR, SalesConnect, SharePoint, WR Reporting Dashboard on Tableau, SAP Hana DataLake.

Create and manage a CI Tools and Platforms Project Framework, including an overarching change request process and an overarching product backlog for our tool and platform development.

Working with the Content Governance and Enablement Workstream Leads, develop initiatives based on platform management excellence to increase Cisco seller usage across our client-facing Intelligence platforms by 10%, Qtr on Qtr.

Develop and manage an overarching governance model, documented in a playbook to support continuous tool improvement and ongoing tools and platform management.

Assess tool features/functionality & management feasibility across various CI tools currently in use, or identified for future use. Tools and platforms that dont meet the criteria for CI team use longer-term should be sunsetted, maintaining a justified CI tool portfolio.

Our core service lies in supporting and enabling Cisco sellers to compete and win their sales deals using data, competitive intelligence and insights. This role will report to the Program Manager leading the Scaling Engine function within the Competitive Intelligence Org.

Who you Are


  • Experience working at Cisco, with extensive connections and expertise across Ciscos IT application and infrastructure landscape.
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving, able to adapt communication style to different audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to organise workstreams and manage tasks across multiple initiatives.
  • Comfortable working remotely within a virtual team environment and building good working relationships with peers and stakeholders across various functions.
  • Cross-cultural awareness, working with global teams in multiple time zones.
  • Take the initiative, self-motivates and stay highly engaged to drive operational success without significant levels of management oversight.
  • Able to lead our supplier/vendor development teams to deliver solutions based on business priority, using an agreed and consistent, agile methodology.
  • At least three years Agile Project Management leadership experience.
  • Project management certified (e.g. CAPM, PMP, Prince2, SCRUM, SAFe) recent PMP exam success a bonus to coach and mentor less experienced PMs on the team.
  • Familiarity with the SaleForces.com platform, Tableau Dashboard Management, Database Management would be ideal.
  • Smartsheet power user/tool expertise.
  • Systems/Business Analysis and Technical Writing skills.
  • Experience/knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, some coding/development experience is useful.
  • Excellent MS Word, PPT, Excel skills.
  • Meeting facilitation and negotiation skills, ability to create impactful presentations and verbally present content.
