What you will do:

You will work as a member of the Customer Experience Center (CX) within the organization of SIO/NMS (Software Integration and Orchestration / Network Management Systems) as part of the professional services team.

You will take an active role in the following stages of a SW implementation project (Day 1 activities):

  • Design -> You will provide inputs, recommendations, risk assessment, recommendations and overall help the customer obtaining the best design for their technical requirements. During this stage you will deliver documents such as Customer Requirements Documents (CRDs), High and Low level designs (HLD, LLD), Integration and acceptance test plans, CIQs, etc.
  • Testing Phase -> Solution validation will also be one of your integral responsibilities, as you will verify the solution deeply before rolling it out to production. During this phase you will prepare, support, document and execute Assurance Test Protocols (ATPs) and Network Ready for Use (NRFUs) documents.
  • Implementation Phase -> You, alongside other team members will participate in the implementation phase, so the SW solution can be integrated to the customer infrastructure. During the implementation phase, you will perform the work during maintenance windows. Implementation can be both green field and brown field, the later including frequently extra activities supporting the migration from customers third party solutions to Ciscos solutions. During this stage you will craft accurate and detailed Methods of Procedures (MOPs) for the customer to use during the implementation and migration activities.
  • Post Implementation Phase -> After the implementation phase, you will be held accountable in handing over the solution to the customer, so the customer can take ownership. You will produce and deliver Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions to customers that will facilitate the customer to take ownership of the newly deployed solution. Some customers also procure Day 2 support from Cisco, in such cases you will help in the transition from the Day 1 team to the Day 2 team)

The SIO/NMS team is in charge of implementing Ciscos solutions belonging to a SW solution portfolio that serves both Service Provides and Enterprise customers, including the following:

  • Cisco DNA Center
  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure
  • Cisco APIC-EM
  • Cisco Prime Carrier Management
  • Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager.
  • Cisco Prime Network Registrar
  • Cisco Prime Access Registrar
  • Cisco Data Center Network Manager

Required Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in technical consulting or direct customer interfacing/engagement role
  • CCNA R&S/CCNP Highly desired.
  • CCNA Data Center is a plus
  • Experience with SNMP
  • Good technical knowledge in the following technology/architecture areas: Networking (Routing, Switching)
  • Experience working with Linux environments (SSH/perl scripting, automating tasks, installing OS, upgrading OS, installing RPMS, configuring Linux firewall, etc.)
  • Understanding of network automation and application development
  • Experience working in virtualized environments (VMWare, Openstack) desired
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good English language skills
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or Telecom
