Consulting Engineer - Collaboration and Unified Communications

What Youll Do

  • Lead or participate in plan, Design, Implementation, migration, or optimization projects for Cisco Unified Communication, Business video and(or) Cisco Collaboration Customer Care(Contact Center) products.
  • Works with customers along with appropriate internal and external resources (e.g. Cisco account teams, partners) on the strategy/deployment/optimization of Cisco services and solutions.
  • Builds and reviews project deliverables e.g. Design recommendations, High Level Design, Low Level Design, Implementation/Change Management Plans.
  • Demonstrates software skills and tools to configure, deploy and/or troubleshoot Cisco products and solutions. Gives in the development of digital intellectual capital (e.g. scripts, digital signatures).
  • Flexibility in working hours as some migrations will require weekend and after hours work. Ready to work in a fast paced, dynamically changing environment to help Cisco build and deliver new solutions and tackle cross architecture customer engineering projects.

Who You Are

Unified Communications

  • Experience in planning, crafting, implementing and troubleshooting complex Cisco UC solutions for enterprise level customers
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting the Cisco UC applications such as CUCM, Unity/Unity Connection, CUCME, SRST, UCCX, CER, IM&P
  • Strong knowledge and experience in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting Digital/Analog voice gateways, media resources such as conferencing, transcoding, MTP, and MoH and voice endpoints such as IP phones, and CIPC (softphones)
  • Experience with planning and executing moderate-scale UC upgrade and migration activities.
  • Experience in planning, designing, deploying, and troubleshooting Cisco Telepresence, Cisco Meeting Server video conferencing, Cisco Expressway, MRA and B2B calls for enterprise level customers is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Cisco Cloud Meetings and Messaging solution Cisco Webex Centers , Cisco Webex Cloud Connected Audio, Cisco Webex
  • Meetings Server, Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms is highly desirable.

Contact Center

  • Experience in planning, designing, implementing and troubleshooting Cisco Collaboration Customer care solutions for enterprise and Service Provider environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cisco UCCE products CUCM, ICM, CVP, CUSP, CIM, Social Miner, CUIC, Finesse, CTIOS, CAD, IOS Gateways, RSM and Virtualization.
  • Experience with Customer Care technologies like Agent Desktop, ICM Scripting, IP-IVR Scripting, CVP Call Studio Scripting, Contact Centre Reporting.

Technical Skills [All Profiles]

  • Strong hands-on of telephony dial plan design, implementation, and call control/routing protocols such as H.323, MGCP, SIP, SCCP, Q.SIG, CAS, ISDN PRI, FXO, FXS, and POTS.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP concepts and protocols such as DHCP, DNS, TFTP, NTP, and LDAP.
  • Experience with MCS series hardware as well as UCS B/C series platforms and VMware technologies such as vCenter, vSphere EXSi, and vSphere client.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN QoS using various queuing techniques such as PQ, LLQ, CBWFQ, and RSVP.
  • Professional level (e.g. CCNP) or equivalent relevant certification desired.
  • Working knowledge of software programmability, automation, orchestration and/or virtualization.
