Auto req ID: 259361BR Job Description The Global Foods Group (GFG) Insights team is on the forefront of the insights transformation in PepsiCo. The team is the voice of the consumer and an essential strategic driver in the organization to unlock growth for the global foods portfolio at PepsiCo. This role will be responsible for the independent leadership and execution of insights work for innovation & category growth agendas. As a critical partner to the GFG Category Development and other cross-functional teams (including Strategy, Innovation, Commercialization, R&D, Marketing and Design), this role works to ensure that the decisions we make are grounded on the needs and wants of consumers. Accountabilities: Partner closely with the GFG Category Development team to drive key cross-brand innovation and growth platforms including Lift & Scale of existing propositions and building new opportunities with global potential. Develop key inputs for these platforms by leading global insight studies to uncover consumer needs, occasions, targets and key drivers that will maximize the consumer desirability of innovations and portfolio opportunities Ensure innovations are linked with core and BFY brand growth strategies through close collaboration with brand marketing / insights teams and intimate familiarity with brand agendas. Lead highly iterative test-and-learn workstreams to ensure innovations are fully optimized with consumer learnings throughout development process, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative inputs. Elevate Consumer Centricity in GFG by embedding the voice of consumers in all workstreams and empower non-Insights team members and stakeholders with consumer reality and empathy. Build strong, two-way relationships with Insights partners in other business units and geographies, ensuring a truly collaborative approach so that the insights agenda and innovation/portfolio initiatives have global impact, alignment, and synergies. Influence and surface when research or strategies are in conflict or duplicative. Maximize impact of our external partners and internally developed resources (e.g. Always on Engine, ADA, Demand 2.0, Panel Data, Change Compass etc.) by ensuring our investments yield actionable and incremental insights. Influence the discussion and agenda of senior stakeholders and decision makers, including the Vice President of Innovation and Category Growth. Travel willingness to travel up to 10%. Location: Purchase/NYC, NY preferred, open to Plano, TX or Chicago, IL. #LI-HYBRID Qualifications/Requirements Qualifications: Minimum 8 years in insights with experience in custom qualitative and quantitative consumer research and analytics. Experience working in a highly matrixed organization with cross-functional teams; experience working in global role a plus. Strong familiarity and comfort with analyzing syndicated retail and panel data incl. IRI, Kantar World Panel, Nielsen, Euromonitor, Global Data Minimum Bachelor's Degree. Advanced Degree a plus. Core Competencies: Strong ability to balance consumer insights with a keen understanding of the business context, in order to achieve optimal impact on cross-functional stakeholders. Curiosity and growth mindset Strong curiosity to dig deeper, seek to understand better, and build a collective/well thought point of view and perspective. Strategic thinker is able to influence above project management by clarifying the problem to solve, have an understanding of what the work will influence at the end, and ensure key decision points during the process are in line with both of those things. Storytelling a clear communicator, who can deliver insights and learning in an engaging, thought-provoking manner, cutting through the complexity to tell a simple, compelling narrative. Relationship building Network internally to influence highly matrixed teams and demonstrate success in working across functions. Bias for action and proactivity able to anticipate the needs of the business and drive the agenda vs. reacting to requests. Analytical horsepower high comfort level interrogating data, bringing multiple data sources and frameworks together to provide understanding and guidance to complex business problems. Creative problem solver with a highly organized approach to managing complexity able to think creatively & holistically, must be comfortable with high levels of complexity and open-ended questions. Strong initiative and results orientation, with a positive and pragmatic attitude to adversity. Key challenges/unique aspects of the position Global projects have multiple stakeholders in different teams/geographies to drive the agenda, strong influencing skills are required. Cultural sensitivity and empathy is a must. Global roles tend to have changing priorities; flexibility, adaptation to change of the course, dealing with ambiguity is critical. Innovation and Category Growth agendas are often leaderships high priority agendas. This person needs to have professional maturity to interact with stakeholders across all functions and levels, including senior leadership.
