Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a CRM Senior Program Manager.  This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices (Austin; Boston; Houston; Los Angeles; New York; Menlo Park; Orange County, Portland, Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica, Seattle, Washington DC or Wheeling, WV) and consideration given for 100% remote US locations.

We have an opportunity for a CRM Senior Program Manager to lead our global firm in transitioning to a cutting-edge CRM platform. This position will require a mix of strategic, technical and client service skills and will work closely with firm leadership across multiple departments. 

The primary focus of this role will be to proactively manage the successful enterprise rollout of a new CRM platform, ensuring maximum adoption, effective training, and accurate and reliable data. This position will require strong project, change management and influencing skills, clear and persuasive communication, and experience collaborating across multiple firm departments including IT, Communications, Innovation, Marketing and Business Development, Sales and Events.  

The CRM Senior Program Manager will report to the Client Relationship Program Director and work closely with Orrick attorneys, IT Project Management, and our Director of BD Technologies to ensure various stakeholder groups’ requirements are met and to identify opportunities to continuously improve and scale the platform. The Senior Manager will contribute to other strategic and tactical technology and process improvement initiatives as needed.

The CRM Senior Program Manager will have the following core job responsibilities:

  • Creating, promoting, and executing the firm’s CRM and client data strategy  
  • Serving as an internal champion for leveraging CRM to grow and strengthen relationships
  • Proactively seeking out opportunities to scale the use of the CRM platform
  • Continuously iterating and improving the user experience
  • Designing and facilitating a CRM training curriculum – both in group and one-on-one settings 
  • Working with the firm’s IT department to customize and configure relevant mobile platforms
  • Developing and managing an internal CRM communications plan
  • Establishing and maintaining CRM guidelines 
  • Sharing best practices for CRM utilization and working to increase adoption 
  • Collaborate closely with the BD Technology group to establish data quality priorities, cleanup, verification, and enhancement processes that continue to meet long term goals of the client relationship program.
  • Developing, tracking, and communicating analytics related to CRM and ROI
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for CRM-related issues, observations and queries

Your Knowledge, Experience and Education:

The ideal candidate will be strategic, business-minded and have strong project management skills. A strong candidate will also have: 

  • Demonstrated experience in: 
    • Business analysis
    • Process improvement, and 
    • Change management
  • At least 5 years’ experience in B2B organizations  
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior leaders
  • A strong sense of client service  
  • Demonstrated success in promoting and communicating the strategic and tactical benefits and value of adopting a new technology  
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated success in leading direct reports and cross-functional project teams, allocating resources effectively, and coaching/mentoring staff
  • Excellent written (both business and technical writing) and verbal communications skills, including contributing to proposals and creating project documentation, business cases, and progress reports 
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail 
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, concurrent projects and competing priorities while maintaining calmness and tactfulness in a high-volume, fast-paced and deadline-driven service organization
  • A strong sense of accountability and ability to take ownership of projects and tasks
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to work, projects, interactions and client service
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed
