Who You'll Work With

As aConsulting Engineer-Migration Services, you will report directly into the Customer Experience (CX) team with primary responsibility andfocusing on all SP and/or Enterprise technologies as a Consulting Engineer. We need a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues. With a seasoned mix of broad and deep networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Management skills, you're well positioned to become a trusted advisor capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers. If you have competitive knowledge, then it is a definite plus.You may travel up to 50% per year - though travel will vary depending on the project.

Required Skills: (Service Provider)

  • Experience on at least 2-4 or more product lines like CRS-1/CRS-3/CRS-X, GSR 12000, 7600, ASR9K/ASR1K a must. Engineer must be experienced and have internal product and/or Architecture knowledge.
  • Deep knowledge and experience BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, MPLS Traffic Engineering, Multicast.
  • Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing of Cisco Routers and switches.
  • Having executed Migration windows and migration projects will be a plus.
  • Must have hands-on experience of 5-10 years on Cisco (CSCO) products.
  • Must have at least one competitor platform knowledge - Alcatel Lucent (ALU) or Juniper (JNPR)
  • Knowledge of Virtualization (VMWare, Openstack, Tail-f) technologies is desirable.
  • Nice to have good, working knowledge of SDA, DNA and Viptela highly preferred
  • Cisco certifications (CCIE R&S, SP, DC etc.) would be highly desirable.
  • Experience with Nexus 3K/5K/9K product lines will be an added advantage.
  • Strong hands-on experience in scripting with Tcl/Expect, Python Java and Perl is desirable.
  • Good communications skills a must. Must have a demonstrated ability to relate to customer representatives and executives at CxO level.
  • Must have deep knowledge of arriving at Network Architecture and Network strategy in customer digital transformation journey.
  • Skills and experience in working independently. Ability to coach and lead a large team of senior engineers
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork needed.

Required Skills: (Enterprise)

  • Experience with at least 3 or more product lines like Catalyst 6500/4500/3850/6800. Engineer must be experienced in and have internal product and/or Architecture knowledge.
  • Experience with at least one - Nexus 7K/5K/2K product lines will be an added advantage.
  • Deep knowledge and experience BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, Multicast.
  • Experience Implementing /Supporting Layer 2, Layer 3 implementations for large turnkey projects will be key.
  • Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing for large turnkey and complex projects.
  • Must have deep knowledge of arriving at Network Architecture and Network strategy in customer digital transformation journey.
  • Must have hands-on experience of 5-10 years on Cisco (CSCO) products.

  • 5-10 years within Advanced / Professional Service role(s)
  • Nice to have experience high level / working knowledge of wireless, and ISE technologies required
  • Nice to have good, working knowledge of SDA, DNA and Viptela highly preferred
  • Nice to have 3-5 years experience leadingNetwork CentricACI Design and Implementation Engagements
  • Nice to have experience with ACI L4-7 and Firewall integration
  • Nice to have experience with ApplicationCentric ACI Design and Integration
  • Nice to have experience expert level knowledge in Cisco ACI architecture and products
  • Bachelors degree preferred-Nice to have
  • Strong Routing & Switching skills
  • Experience in programming Python
  • Experience with UCS Central and/or UCS Director
  • Experience with Linux
  • CCIE R&S/SP/DC desired
  • Must have deep knowledge of arriving at Network Architecture and Network strategy in customer digital transformation journey.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work with executives at CxO level
  • Competitive Certifications and knowledge (Juniper, Alcatel/Lucent, Huawei) a definite plus.
  • Must have cross-functional experience of working across different technologies UI/DC, Security, R&S, IoT.
