In this role, you will be managing and developing delivery engineers.  You will be responsible for developing technical consulting talent, customer satisfaction, supporting business development, overseeing project delivery, and revenue generation.

The Cisco Customer Experience team in Canada seeks a strong leader and communicator with a deep understanding of business fundamentals, service lifecycle execution and cross-functional team alignment to manage a team of consulting engineers and architects supporting Business Critical Services.

Success in this role requires an understanding of Enterprise Networking solutions, SP Networking solutions, customer requirements, business metrics, and an aptitude for influencing and guiding internal stakeholders as well as customers and partners. 

In this role, you will be willing to travel up to 20% of the time to support delivery engagements and client business development activities.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • A strong working knowledge in Cisco process and tools.
  • A strong understanding of Enterprise Networking solutions, Data Center solutions, and SP Networking solutions, along with a good understanding of security, collaboration, and associated network technologies.
  • Supervise the activities of a team of engineers with responsibility for results in terms of customer satisfaction and delivery assurance
  • Provide development guidance and training to the engineering team to improve technical and consulting skills of team members
  • Manage overall operations for a region or customer segment, including resource allocation, contract negotiation and customer issue resolution
  • Provide support related to project scoping, project organizing, project delivery oversight, and conflict / issue resolution.
  • Participate in major cross-functional projects affecting Cisco business, product, or service leadership with the goal of improving overall Cisco Customer Experience delivery to customers.  
  • Actively participate in field and customer meetings; liaison with sales teams, Business Entities and Business Operations.

Working directly with delivery engineers and architects in Canada, you will partner with Ciscos brightest talent in services, sales, operations and engineering working on innovative solutions Cisco is taking to market for customers.

Who You Are

You are a strong leader and communicator with a deep understanding of business fundamentals, service lifecycle execution. Ideally, you will have 8-10 years experience in a related field with industry knowledge, and operations or delivery management experience.  Previous experience within Cisco Services is a definite plus.

You are able to work with little or no direct supervision. You collaborate well with other management team members and independently identify complex issues and resolve complex problems that impact strategic direction.  You have effective people management, leadership, and development skills; ability to influence using applied knowledge and superior people skills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSCS or BSEE or equivalent technical background plus 8-10+ years-related experience.  An MBA is preferred but not required.
  • Prior consulting experience or an understanding of Enterprise Networking, Data Center, and SP Networking design and deployment methodologies.
