What You'll Do


Ciscos Customer Experience (CX) team is seeking a dynamic Security Practice Manager to lead a team of dedicated Security managers, architects and engineers. This team provides life cycle services, from consultancy through to design, build and integration of some of the worlds most interesting security solutions.

This is a Regional role which will manage theatre based teams throughout APJC. The Security mangers number one priority is to ensure the successful delivery of Security projects, but the remit also includes contributing to growing new business, expanding existing business and ensuring renewals of optimization business.

  • Represent Cisco Security Services in customer briefings, manage staffing futures aligning with their P&L owners and influencing offering evolution with the Practice Leads.
  • Work with little or no direction and is mindful of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Proactively identify complex issues and resolve complex problems that impact customer delivery.
  • Act as a program sponsor with customers and projects related to security services.
  • Develop, mentor and manage multiple managers and Solution Architects enabling growth within the teams.

You have a grasp of strategic business challenges and a high level of comfort working with all customer sizes, partners, internal teams and executive leadership. Abilities as a communicator and mentor, as well as an understanding and vision of the constantly-evolving marketplace are critical to the success of this position. The ability to inspire and create excitement within the sales team, as well as across the entire organization and in the marketplace is a key attribute. You will understand the nuances of delivering complex security solutions, as well as other new products as Cisco expands in this market. You are able to balance both short term goals with a longer term vision and possess a clear sense for how they will evolve the delivery organization to meet the changing Security landscape. Lastly, you possess the highest level of integrity and be able to establish trust and confidence in our employees, partners and customers.


Who You Are


  • You are an individual who has a bachelors degree
  • Your experience speaks volumes with a minimum of 15 years of Security Professional Services customer facing delivery experience, inclusive of 7 years of management experience.
  • Your tremendous communication skills across all platforms: written, spoken and physical are a constant asset.
  • The role is a team focused role which demands a collaborative nature.
  • You have an ability to drive growth indirectly, by supporting sales through technical pre-sales activities and expanding existing customer engagements through credibility and exceeding customers expectations.
  • Your intelligence is apparent in your experience in customer support, knowledge of inter-networking technologies, security solutions and the competitive marketplace.
  • A proven record of customer success and 15 years of customer-facing experience, while including consistent examples of mentoring, developing talent and leading technical teams.
  • Strategic focus and the ability to lead resources of diverse skill set to achieve a common goal
  • Career experience building relationships and collaborating with various business groups and stakeholders.
  • Ability to formulate and deliver complex presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Prior experience in designing, deploying or managing large-scale Cisco (or competitive marketplace) security solutions is a plus.

This position requires an extensive background in Professional Services or Security Consulting delivery. You have in-depth security industry experience and any experience in network security is strong asset but not mandatory. You are adept at enabling and developing managers and have a passion for succeeding as a team. You are comfortable working in a multi-functional team environment that can be global in reach. You lead by example, develops from within, challenging the team to evolve.
