Cyber Security Operations Analyst (Government)

AT&T has been tasked with executing a comprehensive rebuild and modernization of the communications infrastructure and capabilities at Tyndall Air Force Base following Hurricane Michael in October 2018. AT&T will provide local, wide area networking and a broad array of current and future innovative information technologies that support Tyndalls military. AT&T will deliver and manage these technologies at Tyndall Air Force Base.

This position will provide expertise in performing vulnerability scans in support of the DoD Risk Management Framework process to obtain the system authority to operate (ATO), in support of reducing risk in the eMASS Plan of action and milestone (POAM) process and long term risk monitoring procedures. 25% work travel required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Developing, maintaining, and improving the IA security posture and documentation using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for Federal and DoD clients
  • Review policies, guidelines, and directives identified by senior team member in support of development of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) plans for Federal and DoD systems
  • Identify industry accepted technical security standards and the policies that drive compliance requirements
  • Participate in development and review of System Security Documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP), IA policies, Personnel Security, Disaster Recovery, Incident Responses, Authentication Management plan.
  • Knowledge and experience working with the DoD risk management tool eMASS
  • Ensure that the architecture and design of DoD information systems are functional and secure
  • As needed, design and develop IA or IA enabled products, interface specifications, and approaches to secure the environment
  • Assess threats to the environment
  • Provide inputs on the adequacy of security designs and architectures
  • Participate in risk assessment during the certification and accreditation process
  • Ensure that the architecture and design of DoD information systems are functional and secure
  • As needed, design and develop IA or IA enabled products, interface specifications, and approaches to secure the environment
  • Assess threats to the environment
  • Provide inputs on the adequacy of security designs and architectures
  • Participate in risk assessment during the certification and accreditation process
Skills/Experience:
  • Possess working knowledge of Assessment and Authorization practices within DoDI 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53v4 Security Controls, CNSSI 1253, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process including various security tools (ACAS, HBSS, etc).
  • Knowledge of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques
  • Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures
  • Understanding of DHS/DoD policies and procedures, including FIPS 199, FIPS 200, NIST 800-53, DHS 4300A SSH and other applicable policies
Required Clearance:
DoD Secret

Certifications:
CISSP (Desired), CEH (desired), at least Security + (required)

Education:
High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 6 years of experience, or Bachelors Degree with 4 years of experience
