What We Do

True Fit is building a comprehensive taxonomy of clothing products powered by text, image, user interactions, and manually derived data. The Data Science team at True Fit is leveraging this information to power the next generation of fashion recommender systems and help shoppers navigate the fashion world.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to help us expand what we can do with our fashion catalog.


  • Contribute to ongoing efforts to expand the features of clothing we model.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to measure performance of recommender systems and devise improvements.
  • Develop a holistic, data-driven perspective on the accuracy, coverage, and consistency of product features.
  • Own the Science code base for product-specific analytics. Build centralized reporting mechanisms.
  • Work with Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to communicate important results.
  • Develop techniques for increasing stakeholder awareness across the organization.

Required Skills

  • Experience solving data problems using quantitative tools. For example, experience acquired with a Bachelors in a quantitative field (computer science, math, physics, computational biology; economics, psychology, or other quantitative social science; or related fields) and 1-2 years of work experience.
  • Experience applying analytical tools such as statistics to real world problems.
  • Experience querying large complex datasets with SQL
  • Experience writing data analysis scripts with Python.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new tools as they become needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with analytics dashboards.
  • Experience or interest in machine learning and/or mathematical modeling.
  • Experience with big data tools and frameworks, such as Spark.
  • Previous experience working with clickstream data and/or transaction data.
