Your Role and Responsibilities
Db2 for z/OS, IBM premier enterprise relational database management system is the undisputed leader for storing and harnessing mission critical data. It is the gold standard for system availability, scalability, security, and cost effectiveness. Fortune 500 companies, including the worlds top banks, retailers and insurance providers trust Db2 for z/OS for their mission critical workloads.

We are looking for an ambitious and talented new member to join our client success team. If you have excellent communication, team skills, highly responsive and have a passion for learning as well as digging in to solve tough problems, you are just the person we are looking for.
  • Specializes in analyzing complex problems in a disciplined manner and clearly communicates solutions and workarounds to customers.
  • Provides technical support assistance directly to customers and/or IBM representatives using problem determination and technical analytical skills.
  • Is responsible for analyzing, recreating, and resolving customer reported problems in using Db2 for z/OS.
  • Be able to assimilate customer system environments and processes to provide best practices.
  • Be able to provide onsite technical support and/or presentations to customers when needed.
  • Is responsible for writing Tech Notes, performing causal analysis, contributing to services metrics, and focusing on defect prevention activities resulting in high customer satisfaction results (NPS).
  • Provides recommendations for improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes.
  • Researching cases using knowledge bases, documentation etc.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • BS degree in Computer Science
  • Experience with Db2 for z/OS.
  • Ability to effectively work with customers to resolve problems
  • REXX, z/OS JCL, ISPF, TSO.
  • BS degree in Computer Science
  • Db2 for z/OS DBA or Db2 system programmer.
  • 5+ years working with Db2 for z/OS
  • 2+ years in role of technical support
  • Fluent English



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Ability to effectively work with customers to resolve problems
  • REXX, z/OS JCL, ISPF, TSO.
