Your Role and Responsibilities
IBMs Nordic marketing team is looking for a new digitally-minded team member to be based in our Holte office in Copenhagen. This person will have responsibility for the integration of the Danish business priorities into the overall Nordic marketing plan, as well as taking the lead in developing the plan for one of IBM Nordics priority industries.

The country marketing manager will be a part of the Danish leadership team and will facilitate the two-way dialogue between the local business and its needs, and the Nordic business unit marketing teams. They will be responsible for IBMs flagship customer event in Denmark as well as being the card holding manager for some of the locally based team.

The industry part of the role will support one of the businesss core industries and will require strong field marketing skills to build a plan based on business needs and market opportunity, and to then work in a mulit-disciplined team to implement the plan.

In a matrixed environment, this person will be accountable for ensuring that marketing is making the right contribution to the overall Danish business as well as the specific Nordic industry business. This role will work across multiple projects and disciplines in support of this combined mission.

The successful candidate will be a senior marketeer with experience across all marketing disciplines and will understand the Nordic IT Market. They will be passionate, curious, always learning, love engaging a wide range of stakeholders, creative and willing to take risks and to try new things. They must have the ability to operate in an agile environment with teaming skills that result in positive brand and business outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Danish country leadership team to understand and define the country priorities & provide these as input into the Nordic marketing plan in order to support the business objectives.
  • Team across Nordics to provide business direction, market priorities, and market insights to help develop plans that aligns to the key priorities for both Denmark and banking for campaign planning and execution.
  • Be an active part of the Nordic marketing leadership team and Danish leadership team.
  • Act as part of an integrated team with other disciplines such as Corporate Communications, Performance Marketing, Product Management Teams, Business Unit Marketing teams to deliver the best outcomes for the business.
  • Monitor marketing activity using data tools to identify areas for optimisation
  • Be responsible for the engagement, health and welfare of the Denmark-based marketing team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Passion for the IBM brand
  • Team leadership/management skills
  • Strong overall understanding of the key areas of marketing: product marketing, content marketing, demand generation, and digital marketing
  • B2B marketing experience
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to closely collaborate as a part of a team comprised of business, marketing, sales and technical types
  • Team player
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal & influencing skills
  • Fluent in both English and Danish
