Deployment Leader

Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) is a Pfizer/ Upjohn corporate wide effort to design, implement, and sustain a Pfizer/Upjohn production system, with an objective to reach world class manufacturing practices and performance across the PGS/ UGS network.

+ This role oversees deployment of IMEx program at assigned sites, works closely with site and center/external support to ensure overall IMEx deployment is progressing to plan

+ Contribute to the design and refinement of IMEx ecosystems. Feed learnings from deployments into the IMEx program for refinement/documentation of the IMEx standard and approach

+ Build up the Lean and Six Sigma capability at sites; and provide coaching and training to enable the successfully deployment of IMEx.


+ Support IMEx leadership in deployment strategy and engage closely with T4 OpU and IMEx center team on day-to-day program management

+ Work closely with T4 OpU and site leadership to explain IMEx impact and approach, troubleshoot issues and engage stakeholders on key decisions

+ Support and guide site deployment teams to ensure successful installation of IMEx according to IMEx operating standards and leverage good practice sharing across network.

+ Identify any risks and requirements, e.g. site or center/external resources, to ensure successful deployment; and escalate issues to T4 OpU leaders and IMEx Center Team Lead where needed

+ Support site deployment team in value analysis, planning and training of site leadership team; track impact and value delivery at install sites

+ Provide coaching and training to sites before, during and after IMEx deployments to develop their capabilities in engagement, facilitation, planning, execution and troubleshooting for installation and sustain of IMEx.

+ Provide input based on site feedback from deployment to design and refine IMEx ecosystems; maintain consistency across sites on the IMEx standard and deployment approach


+ Bachelor or BS degree in a Technical or Business field with 10+ years of relevant experience

+ Master Degree in business administration or technical discipline a plus

+ Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.


+ Deep understanding and/or experience in lean production systems, process excellence and performance improvement tools, techniques and concepts; Lean and Six Sigma experience a plus

+ Ideally experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing or an understanding of pharmaceutical industry

+ Excellent communication skills to enable interactions at various levels in the organization;

+ Ability to interact with and influence broad spectrum of UGS leaders and colleagues

+ Experience in coaching and developing large teams

+ Able to effectively hold people accountable even if in senior or peer relationships;

+ Acts decisively

+ Proven ability to take on and solve complex problems independently

+ Proven capabilities in program management and experience in successfully executing projects with large teams

+ Strong proficiency in Excel analytics and PowerPoint materials geared for senior audiences
