- Cisco is looking to hire a DevSecOps Engineer to contribute to the team and team culture, the products, and the processes. The individual must have experience in building new software offerings with agility and urgency
- The individual must be very comfortable with CI/CD concepts and tools. The individual is expected to participate in all aspects of the builds, tooling, and automation
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering team members and platform stakeholders
- Stay up to date with new DevSecOps technologies and processes, and determine how to translate these into future capabilities for our team

Who You Are
As a member of our Enterprise Networking DevSecOps team, you will be responsible for builds and related operations for various OSes, fixes, enhancements, and completely new services to improve our processes. This job truly aims at changing the way engineers at Cisco live, play, work and learn by modernizing the Software Development Experience at Cisco.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical field or equivalent proven experience
- 5+ years of combined experience in DevSecOps and Software Engineering related roles
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, repo management tools such as Artifactory, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Must have experience with a modern version control system such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Gerrit
- Expertise in various build tools like GNU Make, Maven, etc.
- Provide and maintain scripted solutions for security, automation, maintenance, and monitoring in a variety of languages including Python, Bash, Go, Node.js, and Groovy
- Experience with virtualization platforms and tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Static Analysis and Code Coverage tools such as SonarQube and Coverity
- Experience with DevSecOps, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of C/C++ code and Java
- Strong background and understanding of Linux
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work across multiple time zones and providing remote support for teams
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial guidance
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of embedded developer workflows
- Knowledge of build acceleration concepts
- Exposure to large scale software builds and integration
- Proven record of working with cross functional teams facilitating efficient software build and delivery
- Experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure as well as applications in Cloud environments including AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including XML, REST, and JSON
- Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
- Experience with data visualization tools like Grafana
