What youll do 

The Digital Specialist is responsible for developing an omni-channel digital plan in collaboration with stakeholders across Cisco with the goal of driving engagement that accelerates the customer's journey through the lifecycle. This includes optimizing the organic journey and as well as paid, earned and social media campaigns. 

The digital specialist will partner with the Digital Strategist, Experience Designers, Journey Managers, Web Optimization Managers, and more across all product suites and customer types - understand all digital channels. The successful candidates will use tactics like A/B testing and conversion of that traffic on relevant webpages through regular A/B testing as well as develop additional web pages needed in the digital journey such as paid search and campaign landing pages. S(he) will work closely with the content marketer to ensure content is placed in the relevant places. 


This is a full-time remote position. 



  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop paid, earned and social media plans in context of the .com strategy
  • Work with Journey Managers, Web Analytics and regional teams to ensure digital elements of campaigns are properly instrumented for key analytics 
  • Collaborate with Web Optimization and Analytics teams to optimize digital assets across platforms and domains including personalization 
  • Provide website content and engagement best practices to optimize website experience, visitor engagement, and conversions
  • Work with SEO team members to maximize organic responders through optimization of digital journeys
  • Evolve website maintenance and governance as needs grow
  • Collaborate with design teams on implementation of web assets which includes the authoring of pages, web forms, and technical components 


What were looking for 

  • 3-5+ years of experience in B2B software 
  • 3-5+ years of experience with SaaS 
  • 3+ years of experience in web marketing, digital marketing, or demand generation 
  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience 
  • Excellent understanding of digital buyers journey across paid, earned, and owned channels that drives to a corporate website for the purposes of demand generation and pipeline creation 
  • Strong understanding of web marketing: unique visitor traffic, conversion, and generation of core MQLs (request for demos, SaaS trials, contact us, etc) 
  • A good understanding of search (organic and paid) best practices, re-targeting, and paid media programs that drive traffic to a corporate website and associated landing pages 
  • Experience and use of website analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly iterate 
  • Ability to think and execute at both strategic and operational levels 
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline to work effectively in a high-paced environment 
  • Team player that works well with counterparts from various functions/departments and can influence the work without direct reporting accountability 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks efficiently 
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills 
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence is a plus

You will work cross functionally with the Customer Experience, Sales, Marketing, and IT organizations, playing a critical role in driving Cisco towards becoming a data-driven digital organization.
