The Director, Merchandising Operations must ensure that all projects are in alignment with the goals of the organization and use expertise in strategic thinking, process design and quantitative analysis to drive successful and major improvements in the merchandising capabilities. Develop a tactical strategy for Home Depot\u0027s merchandising business processes that links to Home Depot\u0027s overall merchandising strategy. The Director, Merchandising Operations will manage the development and delivery of new business processes and systems ensuring a comprehensive change management program including change readiness, stakeholder engagement, organizational alignment, communications and training. This position is responsible for developing strong partnerships with Merchants, Assortment Planning, Space Planning, Store Operations, Finance, Information Technology and other groups as needed to ensure solutions meet needs of the organization. This individual provides direct and indirect leadership/management across a project team of 50\u002B professionals and works closely with business partners to ensure organizational objectives are met. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAdditional Qualifications:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPreferred Qualifications:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E10 plus years experience \u003Cbr /\u003E MBA preferred \u003Cbr /\u003E Hands on experience in leading significant change management initiatives in large, complex organizations \u003Cbr /\u003E Experience leading large teams from both a direct reporting and cross functional perspective \u003Cbr /\u003E Proven ability to gain alignment of peers and executives across business groups to support initiatives \u003Cbr /\u003E Retail experience preferred\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:\u003C/strong\u003EAbility to work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and organize into initiatives that are prioritized based on business need and the delivery of other strategic initiatives across merchandising. \u003Cbr /\u003E Provide direction and leadership on all aspects of business process improvement efforts \u003Cbr /\u003E Expertise in designing, developing, and managing large cross functional projects which includes developing the communications strategies, stakeholder engagement, end user training programs, and driving relevant change management activities with the affected business partners both in and outside of merchandising \u003Cbr /\u003E Working knowledge of the technology project lifecycle and ability to partner with IT on large scale initiatives to lead the business team through requirements, design, construction, testing and deployment of solutions. \u003Cbr /\u003E Familiarity with the organizational change impacts of business process improvements and ERP systems \u003Cbr /\u003E General understanding of systems and processes that support merchandising as well as other related functional areas such as Supply Chain, Finance and Store Systems \u003Cbr /\u003E Strong presentation and group facilitation skills \u003Cbr /\u003E Ability to negotiate and influence others at all levels of the organization \u003Cbr /\u003E Ability to develop a structure and processes that support users post system implementations providing a high level of customer service\u003C/div\u003E
