The Director, Accountable Care Quality - Medicare is responsible for the quality (Stars/CAHPS/HOS) performance of the national Medicare accountable care program within Clinical Transformation. This includes ownership of the Accountable Care Stars Action Plan, setting goals and aligning priorities with Medicare business needs, and overseeing regional and market initiatives and strategies, including best practice sharing to drive results. This role will represent clinical transformation in national settings and convert national enterprise initiatives into clear operational actions for our field teams.

As part of the national Medicare Accountable Care team, this individual will lead quality performance in close collaboration with senior leaders from the Population Health and Medicare organizations. We are looking for a critical thinking, dynamic, high-energy individual who loves to think outside the box and create new solutions to achieve superior performance.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Own the strategy document ACO STARs Action Plan (ASAP)
  • Generate new and innovative solutions to achieve 4+ Star performance
  • Oversee region and market initiatives and strategies in the context of the ASAP best practice sharing and driving results
  • Conduct Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle to continuously improve performance
  • Conduct regular performance assessment of field team operations in collaboration with National Medicare Accountable Care Sr. Leaders and Regional Operation VPs
  • Relationship owner for the Medicare line of business measure owners and mega contract directors
  • Represent Accountable Care in National Forums
  • Develop annual chart chase strategy in collaboration with program manager, regional leaders, and quality field partners. Oversee successful execution of the strategy; manage internal stakeholder relationships including regular performance reporting
  • Partner with the Analysts to identify opportunities and monitor performance
  • Direct oversight of seasonal resources, may be shared FTEs or temp resources
  • Understand all technology tools that support the Medicare Accountable Care Quality program and serve as subject matter expert and advocate for operational support and performance
  • Builds trust and forms effective relationships with stakeholders by providing timely performance updates, partnering on issue resolution/mitigation strategies, and monitors resolution of identified issues to conclusion
  • Exhibits creative problem solving skills, adapting approach as needed for each engagement
  • Demonstrates adaptability in a highly changing environment, quickly shifting focus as priorities change
