The position will be an integral part of Enterprise Valuation-Statutory team within Enterprise Stat Valuation & Projections. The Enterprise Valuation-Stat team is responsible for overall process management of year end statutory processes for consistency, completeness, and appropriateness across business units. It is also responsible for preparing Appointed Actuary AAT/RBC memoranda, completing Opinions/Certifications/Reliance Statements/Rep Letters/state specific supplements, Signing off actuarial annual statements of blue book and green book, all statutory regulatory filing, and first line of respondent for all regulatory requests. The team cultivates strong collaborative relationship with enterprise wide function teams.

The candidate will manage a small team that plays a critical role in the enterprise statutory valuation processes. This is an important position with high visibility, particularly during year end statutory memorandum update process.

The candidate responsibilities include:

 Manage and lead a team to perform quarterly and year-end statutory valuation and reporting processes, and drive ongoing process improvement/automation initiatives
 Perform enterprise level results analysis and memo review to ensure the accuracy and consistency and share best practices
 Develop and enhance insights around volatility of enterprise statutory results
 Support business units by providing guidance, reviewing/commenting on memos/opinions/certifications and coordinating filings with controllers
 Support new regulatory requirements implementation
 Partner effectively and formulate solutions with key stakeholders, including appointed actuaries, BU valuation, ALM modeling, Corporate controllers, Corporate Actuarial Oversight, and Treasurers


5-7 years of actuarial experience
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Societies of Actuaries (ASA) preferred
Strong knowledge of Statutory financial reporting preferred.
Experience with multiple lines of business and multiple actuarial functions (e.g., ALM, valuation, projections, assumption development). Some exposure to Life and Annuity PBR is a plus
Strong collaboration and influence skills to partner with stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Attention to details when reviewing and preparing documents
Strong leadership and project management skills to lead initiatives and execute the prioritization of multiple tasks

Highly level of self-motivation, strategic thinking, process improvement mindset.
