What You'll Do

As the Director, Audience Engagement Marketing, Global Events youll lead a team of skilled digital marketing professionals focused on driving demand for and from Global Event programs supporting a broad portfolio that includes proprietary, third-party, and executive events in collaboration with other Global Events Leaders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and scale demand generation, attendee communications, and digital strategy plans for in-person and digital events
  • Partner with Product and Regional Marketing teams to deliver campaigns to optimize targeted follow-up and conversion of event leads and opportunities
  • Build and execute marketing plans to meet registration and sponsorship goals for revenue-based events
  • Own analysis of marketing campaign performance, web, and digital assets, as well as a reporting framework for weekly, monthly and quarterly results and goal attainment
  • Connect with the senior leadership team regarding program execution, results, and impact.
  • Develop, execute and measure targeted marketing campaigns to support audience acquisition for proprietary and third-party events
  • Develop and deliver integrated communications plans across multiple audiences (attendees, partners, etc.)
  • Integrate event marketing campaigns into Always On Journeys and relevant marketing activities
  • Partner with Insights and Analytics teams to develop dashboards to demonstrate event performance, including event-related assets
  • Deliver customer insights to Sales and Marketing teams based on event activity and analysis
  • Manage all technical aspects of key marketing systems that are part of the Cisco Marketing Tech Stack
  • Drive deployment of events websites

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or relevant field. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with an emphasis on audience acquisition and demand generation
  • 7+ years of experience leading a diverse team in a remote working environment
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including a focus on meeting deadlines across a variety of deliverables
  • Very strong written, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Recent experience deploying and promoting virtual events
  • Strong people leadership skills in accordance with Ciscos conscious culture
  • Familiarity with marketing technology and campaign management tools
  • Experience deploying marketing websites and advanced knowledge of web analytics metrics that impact business goals
  • Experience developing messaging and content in alignment with campaigns
